This is a disastrous experience. Start with the worst: I booked this hotel because of inside and outside pools. When I checked in, was told BOTH inside and outside pools WERE not usable. The inside pool is under renovation till 25 April and outside pool will be opened only after 10th (?) of May. If you need a pool, I don’t recommend here. The biggest disappointment. If no pool, I did not choose here.
The first room I was assigned was so small, facing West. There are two types of rooms: Type A and Type B. Type B is too small for two people - you can’t open two suitcases. I was told that it was a wrong room assignment and changed to the type A which is specious and adequate.
the first night AC did not work (warm air was coming in it was very hot day). We were told AC was only available from 1 April. We let a window open as it was too hot to sleep and had mosquito bites… AC was on the second night (30 March) and was able to sleep.
Key cards did not work properly. I needed to go to reception at least 7 times to re-coding.. which was extremely annoying.
Asked to help a train booking to go to Samarkand, was told to go by a car instead as the trains were full and it would not be available on the same day. We booked a car and paid in full. The next day we saw many train seats became available. While the car was comfortable and a driver was very nice, courteous, 10 hours of car ride were too long. On the way back, the driver did not take any rest and it made us concern of our safety. Also was told many times that it would be overcharged if we leave after 17:00 even though we booked the car one hour later than 6:00AM and the car came even later than the our booked time of 7:00AM.
I asked a housekeeping to clean the room during my absence 12:00-16:00 and put the request sign at 12:00. The house keeper came at 16:30 when my spouse was taking a shower but asked him to leave the room as she needed to clean the room and our room was the last (she needed to go home). But why she came so late ? And why she asked my husband to leave the room in a middle of taking a shower? There is a communication problem as the housekeeper did not speak English at all.
The hotel restaurant was only ok. The main buffet (breakfast and dinner) was fine. The Opera Restaurant was not. they charge 20% of service though their service was less than optimal (slow and not understanding/forgetting what we asked…food was not great…
Please do not use the hotel hair conditioner as others mentioned. Very low quality product and after it my hair got stuck,, can’t comb …
While all the above happened, there are pros: location is very good and a guest relation manager Zukhura was great to calm down my nerve many times (while reception staff are young and inexperienced). Type A room is a spacious.
Therefore my rating is still three stars !

Read moreI recently stayed at the Wyndham Tashkent and had a mixed experience. The hotel was accommodating with our luggage while we took a short trip to Samarkand, which was greatly appreciated. However, upon our return and check-in, we encountered several issues.
Initially, we were assigned a twin room that did not meet our expectations—it lacked a fridge and featured an accessibility shower that we found difficult to use. Given that the hotel was fully booked, we were unable to switch rooms for the night, which was inconvenient. The staff did manage to install a fridge eventually and modify the shower to better suit our needs, which showed some responsiveness to our situation.
As a goodwill gesture for the inconveniences, the hotel offered us spa treatments. Unfortunately, this promise was reduced to only one treatment, and when I went to claim it, I was told the slot had already been allocated due to what appeared to be a miscommunication among the staff. After some persistence, I did receive a spa treatment, but the process was more cumbersome than expected.
On a positive note, the hotel covered our taxi fare to the airport, which was a helpful end to our stay. The taxi arrived on time, ensuring a smooth departure.
Overall, while the Wyndham Tashkent has potential, my experience was marred by several organisational mishaps. The staff tried to rectify the issues, and there were definitely positive aspects to the stay, but improved communication between departments is needed. This would have been a five-star review if not for...
Read moreI'm on a vacation with my husband and my toddler. The rooms are in a pathetic condition. We were put in a room where the entire floor smelled of smoke. The glass partition in the bathroom for the tub area nearly fell on me and my 20month baby. Luckily my husband rushed in and picked up the door. Upon placing the glass door made of toughened glass on the floor, it immediately shattered and my husband was covered in shards and cuts. Since the manager had gone home, the staff shifted us to a different room. Even the next day, the manager did not come meet us despite me specifically asking him to meet me. For our horrible experience, they gave us complementary breakfast for two days.
The breakfast service is also quite bad, at 10:30 they will wrap up the buffet even if the guests are still eating. The staff at the restaurant is sweet and helpful. The housekeeping staff is also very efficient. The breakfast spread is good and the coffee is excellent.
We ordered room service and immediately , before we could even begin our dinner, they asked us to pay for dinner even when they had my credit card on file. The food at the hotel restaurant is very good.
Over all, the service was poor and the attitude of the manager and staff was not something you expect of a good hotel like Wyndham.
Location is great, walkable from Amir Timur museum and well connected by...
