Did not know what to expect from this exhibit. There are 2 tunnel tours available: Passage to Fortune and Chicago Connection. We took the Passage tour. It begins in one building and goes through tunnels to another building. It is kinda like a 'docudrama' based on a real laundry business that hires chinese immigrants and the owner takes advantage of their situation coming into Canada early 1900s. The tour guide in times goes into character and 'puts you in their shoes'. It made me feel for these particular Chinese Immigrants and the extreme hardships and prejudices they faced. But it is an important story to know or remember for all immigrants. They came to this great country Canada with high expectations and faced barriers and hardships because they were different. I had mixed feelings during our tour. It was engaging and at the same time depressing. I thank my own descendants who went through their own journey to the 'Golden Mountain' Canada. I appreciate the courage they had for bringing my family here. Take the tour and experience it for yourself. It is worthwhile.

Standing tall at an impressive height, Mac is an iconic symbol of Moose Jaw and a popular tourist attraction. The sheer size and grandeur of this large moose sculpture is truly amazing. It's a perfect spot for snapping memorable photos and capturing the spirit of Moose Jaw. The surrounding park area is well-maintained, providing a pleasant environment for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with family and friends. Additionally, the visitor information center nearby offers helpful insights about the history and significance of Mac. If you're in Moose Jaw, make sure to visit Mac the Moose and experience the charm and uniqueness it brings to the city. It's a delightful stop that shouldn't be missed!

Mac has his antlers back on!! Cool place to jump out and stretch the legs a bit before moving on. The world's tallest moose indeed. Be on the lookout for groundhog or prairie dog holes too. Lots going on around here, 2 gas stations and plenty to eat. There are food trucks along with a Tim hortons across the street. McDonald's is close by if you are into that type of franken food. Everly was working in the tourist information center and she is an absolute doll!! She loves her job and you can definitely see that, very bubbly and informative as well. Could only dream that more places have people like her working for them...

Mac the Moose is a must-see landmark when passing through Moose Jaw! 🦌 Standing 32 feet tall, he’s both quirky and impressive, making it a fun stop for photos and a piece of local pride. The area is clean, easy to access, and right by the visitor centre, so it’s convenient if you’re traveling through.
The sculpture has become a symbol of Moose Jaw, and you can really feel the local charm here. Hours are tied to the visitor centre (typically 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), but holiday hours may vary.
Great spot for families, road-trippers, or anyone who loves roadside attractions. Definitely worth a quick stop!

The sign is the one of Moose Jaw’s most iconic landmarks and it is a great place to take pictures. The queue for pictures can look a bit long but everyone quickly snaps a picture and moves on and the wait isn’t that long. There is a professional photographer who offers to take your picture free of charge and accepts tips.
If you’re in Moose Jaw you must see the sign on your trip. This is one of my favourite places to take a picture in Moose Jaw. I recommend tourists to take a picture of it!

Mac the Moose provides a stunning backdrop for a memorable evening with friends and family. Lush greenery, with a beautiful highway side, and breathtaking views create a serene atmosphere. Walking trails offer opportunities for exploration, while open spaces are perfect for picnics or relaxing games. Whether you're seeking quiet contemplation or quality time with loved ones, Mac the Moose is a hidden gem.
There's a lot of parking space.

I've been to a lot of museums all over the globe, but as a Prairie far boy, these ones will always be my favorite.
And as collections of old Canadian built extinct cars goes, this is where you wanna go! When you look at them you see the superior quality with which canadian autos,( and snowmobiles amd aircraft) were built with compared to the American stuff.
Ive been going to this one for 21+ years. Always The staff are super friendly. It's super clean, and it's more than worth the money.
It's perhaps not as flashy or attempting to be trendy, to stay alive like most museums in the western world now'n' days, but it doesnt have to be. This museum, like it's contents, is a Timeless classic amd cery valuable to preserving out canadian and human history
Also, as gift shops go, this one is priced way better than most

Visiting the Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw was a fantastic experience! The museum beautifully captures the rich history of transportation, agriculture, and industry in Western Canada. The exhibits are well-curated, showcasing a remarkable collection of vintage vehicles and machinery. From the fascinating displays on automobiles and trains to the insights into Saskatchewan's agricultural practices, my family was captivated by the depth of information and the immersive atmosphere. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Whether you're a history buff or simply curious about the region's heritage, I highly recommend a trip to this wonderful museum. It's a true gem in Moose Jaw and Saskatchewan!

The Western Development Museum is a network of four museums in Saskatchewan, Canada preserving and recording the social and economic development of the province. The museum has branches in Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Saskatoon and Yorkton. Respectively, each branch focuses on a different theme: transportation, agriculture, economy, and people. We visited the museum in Moose Jaw. The theme is how industrial development took place through "Transportation". The museum has five galleries; Classic cars, Aircraft, Railway, Canadian Snowbirds, and History of Saskatchewan. An amazing place with a very cheap ticket worth visiting with friends and family.

I remember coming here as a kid and thoroughly enjoying it. This time we went through on our way back to Swift Current. This museum is as I remember it to be. My 4 year old came along for the visit and really enjoyed the train section as she got to go into some of them. It was hard to really enjoy what the museum had to offer as it isn't really geared to children that age, despite this we still enjoyed our visit. They also have a good gift shop area as well. I did see some pamphlets for educational programs for younger children. This is a great museum for any car buffs or antique car collectors as there is lots to see in this regard.
