Fab quirky space suitable for larger gatherings and children! We sat outside in a large group and the children had plenty of space to run and be free (it was after the main lunch rush I think, so we had the entire outside space to ourselves which was awesome)

Everywhere I looked were up cycled treasures, from the house ā€˜skeleton’ of the outside space being left for a beautiful rustic vibe, to old windows being used to protect some plants from the elements (looked stunning!) and the bathroom outdoors being created from a cargo box and various bits of piping being turned into the faucet so we could wash hands in a rusty sink. It was dreamy. Rust gets me like that, love it!

My coffee was amazing, so much so that I had two! And the food was perfectly portioned and very fresh and healthy, feel good food!

The service was absolutely incredible, I regret not taking the name of the lady who served us, she was full of smiles and so very friendly and it really stood out to me and my friends in particular, how nice it is to feel so welcome!

Looking forward to our next visit, I can imagine it’s awesome at night when they bring in a few food trucks and light the fire pit. Bravo...

I used to be a patron of this establishment. However,my preference was always the cafe 100 m away on Tate Street. It initially was manages by a woman named Rhiannon. She developed the best homemade muffin recipes in the City. So many cafes simply sell pre-packaged muffins for 5-7 dollars, which is a COMPLETE rip-off because they merely are removing them from a plastic wrapper full of preservatives.

I always adored the retro decor of She Bangs coffee. I particularly liked it when Jake refurbished it with a Wizard of Oz theme, instead of malicious spray paint garbage.

I always have detected a creepy vibe at Stalled Espresso. In particular, one afteenoon I was eating something from their breakfast menu, to my chagrin the elderly male owner and his two male companions were questionably leering at me. Hence, I abruptly exited the cafe and ate the remainder of my meal at home.

Despite this cafe's rebranding from being called Collingwood Black to Stalled Espresso, the company fails to provide a respectable, appetizing ambience. I don't regret no longer visiting this...

We had some business to do over this side of the city and I knew of this place. Checked the Google reviews and saw some nice reviews and lovely photos. Popped in for a couple of coffees only to be told that they only make coffee in cardboard cups. I'm not sure if it's just me or does everyone think it's ok to be served in paper cups when dining in? Doesn't it detract from the experience, the enjoyment and the temperature and taste of the coffee? Since when did Brisbane become so lame? Why is it that the price of your coffee continues to increase while, service, staffs attitudes and lack of payment flexibility continues to nosedive.

Why is it so difficult to have a coffee in a real cup, warmed on top of the espresso machine like those old Italian men intended many, many, many moons ago..

I'm so proud we chose to walk away when offer coffee in cardboard cups!

Thankfully voted with our feet, won't make that mistake again. It Makes me feel so grateful to have John Mills himself and Strauss as...

Stopped in for coffee and snacks while working on the area and recieved wonderful personal service. The coffee is fantastic, strong like a slap in the face, followed by a warm hug. Just the right additude. The decor is industrial barn fusion with timber paneling, warm brick work and vintage authentic features. A staff member took the time to explain the venue with connecting Herve's Restaurant and Bar, a delicious barn and courtyard bar out the back with an open spit. Thier Sunday Session just kicking off when we arrived. Renovation continues since flooding affected the business but the site looks and feels enticing. Locals please support these business' that have been flood affected with your patronage. A local venue that offers everything from dawn to dusk. This is my kind of country urban vibe.

Can't comment on the coffee, because they exclude anyone needing accessible parking. Absolutely appalling. I'm unsure who the owners had comments with on the day, but it wasn't me. I'm glad the other person could access the venue. More than one person with a disability does exist 😬 If you have a contact number for the carpark owner more than happy to move this review there - as private carparks still need to lawfully meet access standards
