Had lunch here while on a day trip to the castle. We had the spaghetti pomodoro, salad with cheese and the spinach & feta byrek. Absolutely unreal scran; we had pretty much the same thing at a super fancy restaurant in Tirana the night before and Antigonis' was 100% tastier. Spaghetti: super tomato-y and flavourful. Big portion as well. Loads of parmasean cheese too. Salad: I don't normally like salads but this one is the best I've had. It was so simple yet so so tasty. The peppers were sweet and crunchy; the tomatos were big and juicy; the leaves were crispy and the cheese was super creamy. I think it was just dressed with olive oil? It was also a huge bowl, too. Perfect for the 30° heat we were in. Byrek: the cheese was flavourful; there was the perfect cheese to spinach ratio and the pasty was flaky.
We were sat outside on the balcony with a perfect view of the city. It was lovely. We were in the shade and there were lots of fans to help keep us cool.
The staff were so attentive and really lovely.
It was also super cheap!
All in all- if you're in the area I highly recommend this...
Read moreI had a terrible experience. There were two cats roaming around the tables where we were eating, which is so unhygienic. When I told the waiter to do something about the cats, he was very rude and said he couldn't do anything. He didn't accommodate us at all.
This shows how poor their customer and guest care is, and how rude the manager and waiter are. When I asked them to bring one tiramisu, 4 scoops of ice cream, and 2 Red Bulls, he said we would have to order a savory dish as a main course, implying that we couldn't order just desserts. Where in the world is this a rule? We had already eaten, and we couldn't eat more food. There's no rule that says we have to order a main course with desserts. It was very hot, and we were thirsty after walking uphill on cobbled streets and climbing stairs. The waiter couldn't accommodate us even a little bit. Unfair, senseless rules, and rude staff

Read moreDuring our tour of Berat, we had the pleasure of experiencing a traditional Albanian dinner at Restaurant Antigoni. This establishment impressed us not only with its charming decor but also with its breathtaking view of the city, known as the "city of a thousand windows."
Restaurant Antigoni offers authentic Albanian cuisine, and we had the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes as part of an organized dinner. Although I can't recall the names of all the dishes, I can confidently say that each one was delicious and perfectly captured the richness of local flavors. The meal was accompanied by excellent Albanian wine, which complemented the dishes perfectly.
I can't comment on the prices as the dinner was included in the tour cost. However, I can wholeheartedly recommend Restaurant Antigoni to anyone visiting Berat. The combination of delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, and unforgettable views makes it a place...
