I would rate Ajka Restaurant a zero if I could. What seemed to be the manager was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She charged us extra simply because we wanted to pay by card instead of cash, and her attitude was miserable—as if she owned the world. Customer service was terrible across the board. At one point, she even brought a mid-size dog into the dining area without warning. I have a toddler who doesn’t yet walk, and I only noticed the dog when it was already under our table. Our child completely panicked. Not only was this inconsiderate, but it was also very unhygienic. The waiters weren’t any better. Twice, we asked to sit at free tables but were refused without explanation. They brought only part of our food and forgot the rest. I asked for salt and oil for the salad two times, and they never brought it. The staff seemed confused, disorganized, and far from professional. But the cherry on top was the manager’s attitude—rather than welcoming guests, she chose to argue with us in a dismissive, street-level manner. I travel often to Albania, and this was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. This was not the experience with the hotel and the breakfast which was definitely better. We sat in...
Read moreBy far worst meal in any restaurant I have ever experienced! We got greeted by waiter , I think he’s name was Kledi. He was sitting down when we came in about 5-5:30 on one of the tables. No one else was in the first room as you came into the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of white wine , and he said it’s not cold. Alarm bells should’ve been ringing then! No white whine in the fridge!! We ordered two starters and they were ok. Our waiter keeps disappearing when we needed to order and he was constantly on his phone not interested at all in what was going on in his section, even when 3 other tables arrived he was on his phone. We ordered meat platter for two. It was completely overcooked and we could not eat it. Something that looked like a burger was completely black and burned. We called the waiter( when he was eventually off his phone) and pointed to him burned / black burger and told him that food is untouched and so badly overcooked that we could not eat it! All he said was” Sorry” and walked off. Then went back on his phone. When we got a bill he charged us for everything and burned meat platter for 2 ! We will not ever be back to this place and recommend to other tourists to avoid this...

We were “recommended” the lamb, which turned out to be an artistic interpretation of meat — mostly oil and fat, with the faintest suggestion that a sheep may have walked past the kitchen at some point in history. For the price they charged, I half expected the lamb to arrive with a personal backstory and a handwritten thank-you note. Instead, it came with regret.
When I politely raised the issue, the waiter responded with the charm of a traffic warden on a rainy Monday. Feedback wasn’t just ignored, it was batted away as though acknowledging it might damage their carefully curated business model of “feed the tourists once, never see them again.”
To call it overpriced would be generous. This isn’t dining — it’s daylight robbery with table service. A true tourist trap, baited with menus and sprung with rudeness.
Save yourself the money and buy a gyros from over the road. It will almost certainly contain more...
