Tick this one off the list if you’re visiting Berat. Located inside the ruins of Berat Castle with some beautiful sunset views and great ambience.

Affordable and delicious food, i would strongly recommend the grilled meats and the local dip - I opted for the lamb ribs which were some of the most flavourful meat I have tried which at that price point is very impressive. The staff were funny, charming and spoke english making it easy to converse and order there.

They are great with dietaries too! We had a run through of the menu for allergies and dietaries with plenty of options if you fall into that category. Their cute dog Simba made an appearance and he could brighten anyone’s day.

Great experience and I would strongly recommend booking ahead which you can do via WhatsApp, I messaged late the night before in English and got a swift response at 23:00 that we were confirmed there. Definitely a place I’d love to...

Just because I can't go higher than 5/5. The food was phenomenal. The server/ son was funny and a great hosts. He knows in multiple languages some words and phrases. His father makes the best olive oil, which you can buy for 800 ALL a litre, which is more than a fair price. His mother and grandmother are in the kitchen making the best food possible. If I were you, try the Lamb in yoghurt, the beans, stuffed peppers and eggplant and definitely the olive oil. Most delicious! Also, the dessert is out of this world and the raki is not for the light hearted!

We bought a bottle of olive oil to bring home because it...

Klea is such a special spot — a cozy family-run place right in the middle of Berat Castle. The second you walk in, you’re welcomed like one of their own. It doesn’t feel like a restaurant, more like having dinner at a friend’s house.

The food is all homemade and full of flavor, super comforting and authentic. You can really tell it’s made with love. The setting is beautiful too — eating in a castle with views all around? Yes please.

What makes it even better is the family. They’re so warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to have you there. You leave with a full stomach and a full heart.

Definitely a...

Consigliatissimo..
