Te Gjyshi - Hotel & Restaurant — Restaurant in Berat Municipality

We loved our stay in this little family owned hotel. Rooms were so spacious, comfortable big bed and a nice terrace. Convenient onsite parking too. Breakfast included which was a typical Mediterranean dish of omelette, olives, and cheese and chicken slices. Coffee is great. Staff, who are all cousins, are so friendly and welcoming, especially Franci. I can see from the other reviews that he's made a bit of a name for himself! He is super friendly, talkative and really energetic! One of a kind type of person! Franci and his family went above and beyond, and were so helpful. Hotel is very close to the Berat Castle, and also only a 15 min downhill walk to the main centre. Food in the restaurant is amazing too. Will definitely come back to this place and can't recommend this...

Hotel rooms are brand new. Beautiful view of Berat below. Strong AC and lots of hot water and good water pressure. Comfy bed. The included breakfast was great too with donuts, jam, bread, fried egg, cucumber, tomato, feta, olives, juice, water, coffee and watermelon. Check your change! Came here in the off season and was welcomed by the family who was working. Overall, I enjoyed my food and the service was good. It was when I left I realized I was short the equivalent of $20 from the cash I gave, versus what I owed. First night in Albania, was more focused on figuring out how to say thank you in Albanian than I was converting prices and making sure my change was correct. Don’t be a dumb American like me!
