I had a couple dinners take place in Arte de Mafia and at first I held high hopes that it might become a recurrent place for me. In the beginning I was captivated by the unique atmosphere and decour of the restaurant. It is a small but cozy enviroment with dim and calid lighting, and its walls appeared covered in all sorts of wallpapers and portraits reminiscent of italian gangster movie icons, such as The Godfather among many others. It is a pleasure letting one's eyesight wander freely and let it be amused by the entuned decoration. As for the food, it was of good quality. I recommend their lasagna and 'osobuco' speacially, since they were observed by both me and my inner circle as their preffered dishes of choice, often being remarked as outstanding among all other pasta and meat on offer. Nonetheless, I was struck by the poor attention of the staff and even of their owner, both personally and even by message when placing reservations. I found my attempts of making a reservations, utterly frustrating since my inquiries where all answered with the outmost undeserved passive-agressiveness. Credit where it's due, my very first meal with Arte de Mafia was excellent, but no reservation was set beforehand then. But since my visit was so positive, I decided to come back twice after that and so was when I was discouraged to return by the misdemenour of the staff in charge of communications. Altough I was persuaded to disregard the ill-tone of my second visit, I cannot NOT complain of that of my third, in which I (regreattably) chose to bring a larger group along. They had offerred a special menu since we consisted of quite a number of clientel, yet amids our meal they increased the price and complained outloud inside the kitchen facilities because two of our people could not make it, cursing for we had the audacity to ocupy a single table in vain, taking up valuable space from the restaurant. Now, I must remind you it was a single double seater in a restaurant at mid capacity at month's end. Therefore we all became uncomfortable as we were waiting for our main course, wich we found then difficult to enjoy properly Moreover, when check rolls, we had left no tip in response for the poor treatment endured (wich adds up along the already disregarded TWICE on telephone), but then both the waiter an owner rushed at us demanding the missing tip and pretending a %10 of an already very generous check. I had nothing alike ever happened to me and I'm afraid it has overshadow what could easily have been a favourite and highly recommendable place. Food: We ordered the lamb lasagna : It was the best out of the 3 but it tasted strange. Like if someone made stew meat and placed it within the pasta. There was a bone partial that fell out while eating. 3/5
Caprese Salad: Very bland and no seasoning. Small portion as well for 2. 2/5
Ravioli w/ ricotta and pine nuts: Where do I begin with this one. Very fishy and tasted rancid, pasta felt like it was in water for too long and made me sick. 1/5
Wine: good selection
Service: 3/5
Server was attentive but when we got the check and looked quickly looked it over we noticed it was more expensive than anticipated and he came by after he saw us looking it over and said there was a "benefit" happening that night and came back with a revised total amount... very strange.
Overall I would suggest to avoid as there are many other options...
Read moreFuimos 4. Pedimos 4 platos (2 lazañas de cordero y dos pastas rellenas de conejo) 3 de los platos vinieron fríos. Llamamos para que los calienten. Pedimos 2 tarantelas ya que nos dijeron que eran para compartir... Lejos de eso. El sabor...rico, nada fuera de lo común y consistencia a Budín de Pan. Las lazañas estaban muy buenas, las pastas con salsa ciboulette excelentes. Buena ambientación aunque caluroso (18° afuera). Teníamos La Nación pero como reservamos por Restorando hubo toda una cuestión que al final se resolvió. Resumen...pastas excelentes, precios un poco caros, varias idas y vueltas... Prueben.
Le dimos otra oportunidad y fue un viaje de ida, vamos una vez por mes y siempre espectacular. Felicitaciones!!!

Lamentablemente ha bajado de escalón, la lasagna que he pedido muchas veces ya no es lo mismo, mucho más chica, la trajeron fría, pedí que la caliente y vino tibia, mal...El mozo que parecía italiano sirvió el vino...a los hombres nos sirvió en copa chica y a las mujeres en copa grande...inexplicable...el postre no estuvo bueno, muy chico y poco sabor, no se que pasó pero ya no es lo mismo, una pena porque era un muy buen lugar.

Estimados, reafirmo mi opinión con vuestra respuesta, si miran mi perfil he realizado más de 530 opiniones en general bien detalladas para que al que las lea le sirva, y más de 20.000 contribuciones, dicho esto (lo hago para que vean que no soy un tiro al aire que opina cualquier cosa), paso a responder: Ustedes dicen "lo importante es que lo diga en el momento..." leyó y analizó mi comentario?, lo hicimos, eran dos las lasagnas, ambas frías, ambas fueron solicitadas para calentar, ambas volvieron tibias...muy probablemente provengan de freezer por eso estaban frías por dentro...luego SU comentario es lamentable..."Porque la crítica no le sirve a nadie, publicarla luego sin haber hablado en el momento..." esto vuelve a reafirmar que no solo que estuvo pésimo que los dos platos vinieran fríos si no que su comentario es pésimo porque eso que dice, NO OCURRIÓ, además mi otro comentario que el mozo sirvió mal el vino imagino que usted pretende que le diga al mozo, "Sr...usted se equivocó de copa, sirvalo de vuelta..." No estimado, al mozo no le voy a hacer pasar ese papelón, lo que sugiero es que capaciten a su gente para que el plato y la lasagna venga a la mesa muy caliente (eso el mozo lo sabe porque trae el plato y siente el plato frío o caliente en su mano) y también capacitar para que sirva bien el vino (en la misma mesa sirvió dos en copa chica y dos en copa grande), lea bien mi comentario Arte de Mafia...me indigna que no se hagan cargo y busquen absurdas excusas a un buen comentario que los va a ayudar a crecer y ser mejores...si...
