This is not about burgers or the restaurant itself. It's just a very bad customer experience I felt like I had to share here. This has nothing to do with food, it's all about manners. Read on if you care about customer experience as a whole..
Last night, I went to Burger Joint, and I only had USD with me, and asked them if I can still eat there. They told me I can, and their exchange rate was 1USD=12ARS. Yesterday, dollar exchange rate was 15.16 pesos per USD. I told them that this was not a fair rate and asked them to give me more for it. (Just to be more explicit, I have a 100USD bill which equals to 1500pesos at the exchange office, and they are offering me 1200pesos. One burger menu including beer costs 150pesos there. So, they are already charging me 2 burger menus -300pesos- without even selling the burgers. Smart, right?). They said it's their boss' decision and they can't do anything about it. I asked to talk to the owner, but they said s/he's not present. Then, I asked them to call the owner or get a manager I can talk about this. Whoever made this decision was doing wrong, and I needed to talk to that person directly and tell them how I felt as a customer. In my opinion, this is unfair and someone has to tell them that.
Eventually, someone who was wearing a shirt showed up, and spoke to me in Spanish. He didn't know any English, and my Spanish was not enough to explain my feelings. The people working at the cashier told me to come back when I can speak enough Spanish. Things escalated, and we ended up exchanging some FUs back and forth, and that was the end of it.
My Spanish will be at a better level soon, but I don't think I will ever go back. I hope I meet the owner of this...
Read moreYou walk in and immediately are enveloped by this super dope ambiance of customer created art, graffiti, and pop culture bursts. From figurines to posters to bumping hip-hop, we immediately decided this was the place to eat our first dinner in Buenos Aires. We all tried different burgers and it's safe to say that you can order any burger and have your taste buds molested by superior hamburger gods. Each burger has unique ingredients that explain the name and you can't go wrong with either. As good as the burgers were - my favourite thing here was the fries. Perfect for my pallet. Crispy golden brown on the outside and smooth creamy potato filling. It was almost like the soup dumplings of French fries. Maybe not for everyone but definitely for me. The cashier lady that took our order also oozed good vibes. Please go here if you want a pleasant burger experience and...
Read moreI hoped for great burgers and these burgers were beyond great! SO GOOOOOOD. I got the Mexican and my boyfriend got the 420. You can order a combo which comes with fries and a drink, non alcoholic or a beer/wine.
The burgers were hands down one of the best. The patty was huge. The meat was super tender, so juicy. The Mexican had jalapeno in it which added a great kick. Plenty of guac. I tried my boyfriend's 420 and I liked that even more. It had brie on it which was amazing. Creamy and paired so well with the beef.
Their fries were just as amazing. Oh man, I really loved their fries. Super crisp, hot, plentiful. I ate the whole batch. So good!
They take credit card. You order at the counter and they yell out your name when it's ready. The Burger Joint itself is eclectic with both indoor and outdoor seating. Bathroom upstairs.
