We came here by accident as our main go-to restaurant was closed during Feriado. Turns out that was the best thing to happen ever! The restaurant is on a corner with a quant and cute atmosphere. There were plenty of seats and a waiter (Lucas) greeted us almost immediately. They offered us two menu's one for Entree's and the other for Drinks & Desert. We chose Un Botella with Mint, Ginger, and Lemon for the drinks. This came immediately and had a cool fresh taste, which was amazing! For appetizers we ordered Papa Rusticas & Coles Especiados. The food took longer than I would have thought but the music & atmosphere really helped us be comfortable. When the food finally came, wow, it's hard to explain how good the food looked, and it tasted even better! The platting was excellent and the food came with two different sauces one that was spicy & another that was it's opposite with a thicker garbanzo sauce. The combination was perfect. The potatoes came to use perfectly done. Crisp but not burnt, lightly basted in olive oil and baked in the oven. The second dish came with Cauliflower & Broccoli in a pan. They where baked in a sauce that had olive oil & cashew sauce. The sauce, potatoes, and vegetables where so good that we ordered a second Papa's Rusticas. The main dish we ordered was Noquis & Canelones when these finally arrived were again amazed at the quality of the food. The Noquis on my part where toasted lightly & the sauce was perfectly smooth without any grit. The tomato sauce had thyme and fit perfect with it's platting. The food was so good that we both kept exclaiming about both the taste and quality. For our desert we had Volcano de Chocolate. I cannot write sufficiently how good the desert was! Best Chocolate dish I have had in a loong time. The chocolate inside the cake was quite hot, the ice-cream was artisinal, probably made in house. The combination.. fantastic. The best restaurant food I have had in Buenos Aires hands down and I've been around the block a few times! The bill at the end was expensive, but I would probably pay double that for a meal like that! In the end I cannot...
Read moreI went for dinner and was very excited to come to this place bc it very much seemed like it would be an enjoyable experience. However, I had to wait over 2 hours for my food to arrive (didn't even get bread during the wait). I thought they maybe were making it from scratch or something to explain the long wait, but then another table that arrived after me got their food before me, and it very much was not a busy night (max 5 other customers, 3 of which already had their food before I arrived). This was extremely disappointing, and I hope that it wasn't a racial issue since I'm Black. Other than the wait, the food was okay (I ordered the gnocchi, it was a little watery but overall alright) and the restaurant ambiance was great (great music, beautiful lighting and art on the walls). Not the best vegetarian/vegan spot I've been to in Buenos Aires, but I would've given 3 stars if not...
Read moreI see lots of reviews praising the great food and I must admit we only had one dish, but it was a mixed board for two and it did contain bits of many things... and it was very boring and bland. I admire and applaud the idea of a vegetarian restaurant (especially in Argentina: the "land of the asado"), but vegetarian should not mean bland or boring. The fainà, which is vegetarian regardless of where you get it, was absolutely tasteless. The quantity of food was sufficient to adequate for two people, but to my eyes does not justify this board costing significantly more than two full business lunches in nearby restaurants (even if you put pink salt on the table instead of "regular" salt). vegetarian should not mean elitist, either. We had high expectations and unfortunately this...
