If you want to get the real taste of Korea in Buenos Aires, THIS is where you should go. The 김치찌개 kimchee stew was absolutely legit — it stands up to any 김치찌개 I had living in Seoul for 10+ years (and I had a TON of it — it's my favorite!). I also had the 고깃만두 mandu with meat ("empanadas coreana") and they were a standard deviation above what is generally served in Seoul, an A+ — more on par with legit Japanese gyoza than the mandu that tends to be prepared without much care in Korea.
This was the second Korean place I have been to in BA in the past week. I'm a tourist here and had been craving good Korean food and randomly walked past the OTHER Korean restaurant in this neighborhood (which I will be kind enough not to mention by name but you can figure it out). I ordered a 덥밥 rice bowl. It was way overseasoned, with the rice swimming in sauce that was far more sugary than anyone in Korea would ever dare to serve. When I asked for some 고추장 they didn't have any - they had some sort of bizarre "sriracha". It was overall a disappointment. Perhaps they had a bad day.
Whatever the case, I would advise anyone interested to try Korean food for the first time or to taste what you are familiar with from visiting Korea by coming here to 파송송. It is obvious that they truly care about the quality of their food. This is the first time I have ever written a review on Google, because I was so touched and delighted to taste Korean food made excellently...
Read moreMy husband, his daughter and I decided to try out Korean food for the first time. We arrived and it was filled with a few seats available. We sat down but my husband wasnt sure what to order. The waitress asked if we had any questions, when my husband said he didnt know what to order she grabbed a tablet and showed us photos of the food. She was very helpful and adorable. We ordered spicy ramens - fish and meat and a few empanadas to start. The food was delicious, flavourful, filling, spicy but not so deadly spicy. My husbands 9 year old daughter also ate spicy ramens and enjoyed it so its not super spicy. I loved that they feed you fast, you can watch them cook, and theyre really helpful. Id suggest any dish and Ill be going back. It felt like eating in a kitchen with others which was cool. The owners, thankfully are Korean so you know youre getting the real deal. Id suggest getting a few dishes with a group and try different dishes. Its a great experience enjoying another cultures food....
Read moreI needed some spicy Korean food— this place makes an excellent Kimchi jiggae! 10/10. Flavorful, unctuous, spicy, hearty, generous portion, and a good balance of tofu and pork. I wish there were a few more veggies like zucchini, carrot, fern, scallions but I’m still very happy.
Service was excellent. Attentive staff who knew their menu very well. Place was clean. Plenty of tables but tight space. Very causal atmosphere. I also appreciated that they packed up my leftovers in an innovative way.— the soup was in a plastic bag and placed on top of the rice in a plastic container. No lid. Not sure if that is common but so long as it didn’t spill, I am fine!
Can not speak to the ramyeon (noodles) or the kimbap (rolls). I only had the...
