Heladería Esmeralda — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

This is the best kept secret of Buenos Aires. I have had ice cream in every place I’ve traveled, all over Europe, and when I tell you this is the best, I’m saying it with all my ice cream loving heart. I visited all of the suggested heladerías in the BA, at least 7 within a month, and this one, tucked into its tiny little corner is by far the best. Everyone talks about Luccianos and Rapanui, they don’t even compete. I came back to Esmeralda 5 times, talked to the owner who serves you his handmade ice cream himself. His favorite is the Dulce de Leche, which as someone who doesn’t love dulce de leche, I will say the flavor here is exceptional. You can’t go wrong here. Full five stars. 54 years selling ice cream and going strong tells you all you need to know. If you are coming out of a close by dinner, this is probably the best place for that dessert ice cream. Dulce de leche, Super dulce de leche, and lemon mousse are only a few of the great flavors.
