The place is nice, but I had a bad experience.
I had to organize an after-hours event for my company, which required a reservation for two hours at the venue.
To start, I had arranged via WhatsApp to go and leave the deposit at a specific day and time, but they stood me up. I arrived with my manager, and there was no one there, so I had to come back later that same day.
They showed us the place and told us they were going to put us in a corner where the view wasn’t appreciated at all, so I asked if they could please make an exception and seat us in the central area which is the main reason we picked that place. However, they never confirmed if they would do it.
Their system works in such a way that you pay a deposit, which is then deducted from the total bill. On the day of the event, unfortunately, many people on the team got sick, and I wasn’t sure how many would be able to attend. So, I arrived at the venue and explained the situation, letting them know there would be fewer people probably half the people I expected originally.
The manager approached us in a very rude manner and said they were offended because we had caused them to lose reservations and money. I told him, "Fine, I’ll leave the full deposit, don’t refund anything." Yet, he kept repeating that we had made them lose money. I found it very unprofessional. I wondered, if someone has a birthday and no one shows up, would you confront the person like that? The manager eventually walked away because my colleague told him that it was their system, their rules, and if they wanted to ensure profit, they should have charged a higher deposit.
In the end, 3/4 of the people showed up to the event, and we consumed a lot—far exceeding the deposit. However, this person never came back to apologize.
So, I would recommend the place if you want to go for drinks in the afternoon, but not if you need to organize an event that requires a certain level of...
Read moreThe food and drink is okay - thats about the best I can say for the place. We tried to go on a Saturday night and were told it was full and reservation only. This is no issue and should be expected in many places in Buenos Aires, so we messaged them on Sunday asking if we could reserve a table any evening between Sunday-Wednesday and they replied that reservations on these days would not be necessary and that they had tables free. We turned up Sunday evening and were told at the door we should've made a reservation if we wanted a table, but after some debate we were told we could have a drink at the bar. While waiting to order several tables became free so we asked a waitress if we could move to one, since the bar has no view and we wanted to order food. We moved and ordered drinks, then a different waitress came over and told us three times in a row in quite a curt manner that our place is at the bar and that the table we were sat on has been reserved. We moved back to the bar and waited a while for our drinks, drank them and had some food, paid the bill and then left; during all this time nobody sat on the table we had been moved off from.
Even from the best seats the views are not great since the bar is surrounded by much taller buildings, but if you don't get one of the better seats you can see even less of the city than you can...
Read moreI would advise avoiding for fear of the price of a drink multiplying by 10 when the bill comes. I had a single drink, advertised as $750 on their menu. However, when the bill came this was charged as $7500. This was an honest mistake on the menu but given I ordered off the menu, the price on the menu should have been honoured. The bar acknowledged this mistake but demanded I pay the new, previously unknown price. I strongly urge you to avoid this place until either they get the prices on their menu correct or they decide to have a shred of integrity and honour the incorrect prices. Thankfully, there are many other rooftop bars in Central Buenos Aires to...
