There are times when I enjoy having over 400k followers and views on different platforms. Because when I find something that doesn't pop up to try when traveling it's a hidden gem. This place is in the center near Casa Rosada in an alley a street over. They do it right here except for my own opinion of Parrilla like the steak was tender but not grilled like the outdoor grills but tasty and the green salad different kinds of lettuce and tomatoes. And they put a little chimichuri on the side with lemon wedges olive oil and balsamic if you want. Coffee, pastries, and cakes are the best I have had recently. Full bar and wine selections using the best ingredients for aperitifs for digestion. The waitress handled the half full restaurant like a pro. Good times here I walked into locals...

A great place that I stumbled upon while walking around town. It is over a hundred years old and still retains the old world charm that it had. I enjoyed a glass of wine and relaxed in the special atmosphere there. Service was slow, but that made me enjoy the place for even longer. UPDATE. What's backdad? Three weeks after my first visit , I decided to lower my rating of this establishment. Service is really an issue, and the initial exuberance has worn off. Wait staff were just standing around and despite me. Reminding them about my beer, It did not make a difference. And they were definitely not understaffed. It was good for a one time experience and I don't think I will be back...

Cool little spot in the city center. Throw back to a different time.

Our server was old school, super polite and kind. You can tell her has been doing this for years at this restaurant and had his routine down.

We had the Continental Breakfast, which came with fruit, eggs, today and deli meats for two, along with two coffees and fresh squeezed OJ. At first, i didn't think it would be enough food but i was super wrong once i saw the sizes of the plates and food stacked up.

Eggs were ok, deli meats and cheeses were good but my favorites were the carbs (bread) and the fresh fruit. And the ORANGE JUICE here was so fresh. Enjoyed it more than my coffee ....

Great coffee shop and restaurant. A nice surprise to Puerto Rican visitors, who would have never expected to find the name of their island being shared with a restaurant. Considered by the city's government as a place of cultural interest, La Puerto Rico has been in business since the mid 1800's and it is said to have been own an Argentinian entrpreneur that was impressed then quality and flavor of Puerto Rican coffee. Nice place specializing in local cuisine and, of course, coffee.
