🚫DISCRIMINATORY SERVICE - Avoid🚫
If you sit down to dine al fresco as a person of color, expect to be ignored while everyone else is greeted and handed a menu. I sat at the table right next to the door and was not acknowledged while each white patron (both locals and tourists) was immediately served. I finally approached the wait staff and asked them in Spanish why I was not being served, and they ignored me. I then went to the manager and described what was happening and he replied that I agree with me because he saw when I first arrived. However, he had no explanation as to why I was being ignored. I might add that the entire staff appeared to not be Argentine, but seemed to be from elsewhere in South America. Argentines were generally great in the service industry to include restaurants in BA.
I then contacted Pertutti Management sometime after this incident and their response was that they doubted the treatment I received was because I am black because “it is 2024,” a curious assessment to...
Read moreA classic cafe & ristorante looking out on one of the most prominent plazas of Buenos Aires. A lovely spot to relax your feet after a long day of sightseeing. Pertutti provides you with classic desserts, cakes, unique drinks and good food!
The home made complimentary chips are absolutely amazing. They're salty, fresh and crispy. I wish I could buy it by the bag.

The waiters are very professional and are always stand by to tend to your needs or questions. The staff speaks/understands English and will help you with your order.
The restrooms are very clean and well kept. Occasionally there is a smell around the restaurant but I haven't figured out what causes it yet. But that does not reflect negatively on the restaurant or impact the experience.
A great place to overlook the Plaza de Mayo and to take in the intricate architecture that Buenos Aires...
Read moreAfter visiting the Casa Rosada, the Square and the Museum we were hungry, so just crossed the street to Pertutti Restaurant for some lunch. It was an excellent choice, as the atmosphere there can only be described with the Italian word "grandezza". Waiters were very friendly, very quick and offered great recommendations. I don't know what the Argentinian bakers are foing differently, but the offered bread with cream cheese was marvellous. Attention there, as e.g. in Southern European countries the "Coperto" is automatically added as a per-head-fee to the bill. The same happens here with the bread. The food itself was yummy. My burger was quite tasty, served with crispy fries. So, if hungry after the tour of Evita's pompous balcony: join Pertutti and thanks to Christian for the...
