I went to Piso 15 on 13-Apr-2024. It was my wife’s birthday and she is pregnant. We were on vacation in Argentina, from Brazil.
We made reservations for 9pm, but I got confused and ended up arriving 30min early, at 8:30pm. We were told, by a blasé receptionist on ground floor of the Comega Building that we could only stay for 2 hours, which isn’t ideal, but it is fine by us. Unfortunately my spanish is poor, so I may have missed something.
We went up to the 15th piso to enjoy our evening and we loved the place and the atmosphere! A huge cigar store, stylish couches, great lighting, forming a very cozy ambient for drinks and fun.
We were taken to our table, with great music playing. Considering the 2-hour limit it took a while for the waiter to get our drinks’ order and bring my drink (it was fantastic) and juice for my wife. We ordered the octopus as starter to share and chicken with mashed potatoes and the seafood pasta.
The octopus was a bit on the chewy, hard side, with no salt. Then the main dishes arrived and had not a lot of taste. The cook certainly didn’t taste the food or he has high blood pressure as there was not salt at all on both dishes. So… a turn off.
The drinks were great and I finished mine after the meal, when I ordered third one and a dessert.
It was 9:55pm and we were told there was not enough time to get a new drink and the dessert. Noticed we were there for less than 1h30min. We insisted we knew about the 2-hour limit, but tue waiter brought another waiter who said again they couldn’t bring the orders because there was no time left. I mentioned they were wrong and a 3rd, seemingly more senior, waitress came by and I had to show her my WhatsApp chat with the venue where it was displayed that my reservation was for 9pm, but despite my error I arrived at 8:30pm… said I was disappointed that the food had no taste and that they lost track of their time keeping on my pregnant wife’s birthday (she was in fruit juice). But I could leave if they insisted as we just weren’t enjoying the mood anymore.
The waitress said she was very sorry and said she was going to get the drink and dessert right away as she realized they were wrong. She was very nice. As we finished our dessert they brought a glass of pomelo juice for my wife and one of champagne for me alongside a small birthday cake with a lit candle. So that was cute and made us happy.
Overall, we’d go again expecting a more fun and more flavorful evening as the place seemed great on tue surface and I am sure it’ll be better...
Read moreDEPLORABLE, to never go again.... A shame that a place that boasts strict rules on reservations, advance payments, tolerances on late arrivals, etc., does not respect the customer. On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, I reserved for 6 people and they only had a time available at 10:30 p.m. on the terrace, before paying (such as their conditions) 30,000 pesos, ask about what would happen if it rained and they informed me that they had retractable roofs (I attach a photo of the conversation). When I arrived on time, they informed me that due to the rain they did not have a table until 11:00 p.m.... Since they are so strict with late arrivals (I have attached part of the rules that require arrival times...) see if the other way around They did not contemplate the situation... Nothing... 11:15 p.m. ... he told us that he was trying to solve it and that he had brought us a glass of champagne... FINALLY, NOT TO COME BACK!!!!! I DO NOT...
