I find this restaurant disappointing-- mostly due to the attitude and service of the people running it, and rather deceptive pricing practices. To put that into perspective-- i spent 25000 pesos for two people-- that's more than one would spend at Don Julio-- the Michelin starred steakhouse in Palermo. It's the first place I've encountered that adds "tax" after their pricing, which is made to look deceptive from the get go. But that's not why I find this particular establishment disappointing; rather, it's because I found the management more concerned with maximizing their perceived profit than serving their customers. I entered this place for a second time today with my family of 3 and we asked for a booth so that our daughter can lie down. She's 5 months old and can't stay in her car seat for that long, so we try to only find places where we can take her out and let her lie on her stomach. There were 8 booths completely empty on the bottom floor of the restaurant, so it didn't seem like a particularly challenging request; however the smallest booths can seat 6 people. The staff insisted we take a 4 person table with no space to put a car seat or stroller, and after several eye rolls and lecturing, the manager reluctantly pointed to a booth next to the kitchen doors besides a stairwell. To treat customers who have paid a lot at this restaurant like that, especially when nowhere near capacity and with a small child, I found to be unacceptably greedy and inconsiderate. I would understand fully if it were full, but there were so many empty tables. Needless to say we won't be returning and would not recommend giving such an establishment your hard earned money. The food itself is average-- nothing to write home about, and...
Read moreWe were SO POORLY TREATED! Never coming back!!! The first time around we went in 3 and were sat in a small corner table with only 3 chairs (the room was almost empty and we had to ask for an extra chair to put our bags on) and they gave us simple white plates. We saw couples being seated at tables for 4 and every table at the salon was given fancy green dinning apparel and we had to ask for it twice for 2 different waiters. The food was delightful, but one lady in the staff was really bothered by our presence, barely answering whatever we asked in a very dry and rude manner (we were asking everything in fluent spanish). The second time around, when we came in 1 water asked for how many we were and went inside to ask the same bothered lady something. A second waiter came by and told us to go upstairs in an exaggerated manner, trying to speak portuguese. That time around, the room had about 5 tables for 4-6 people available. Upstairs was completely empty! We felt really mistreated, as if we HAD to be hidden to even be served!!! Lucky us to have found a much better and welcoming alternative in the...
Read moreEverything was awesome... Recommended if you are a fairly big party (we were 6), order several plates and share everything, that's the proper way to enjoy this place. Don't order more than one of each plate even if it's 3-4 pieces only, split it in half if needed (:
Went crazy trying out the different dumplings, fried rice was amazing, noodles, wanton soup, chop suey, sour sweet chicken... nothing disappointed, everything was a joy to eat.
I wanted to try something like Egg Drop Soup, the waiter kindly asked in the kitchen and came back with "we have it, it's this one, but you have enough food ordered as it is" and he was right: we ate EVERYTHING, but we probably wouldn't have handled another full sized plate.
We shared Egg Tarts as dessert as a bonus.
Tea comes at a per person rate, and you can have as much as you want, Jazmin tea would be my recommendation.
Pricing is good, considering how much we ate, everyone was full, check was 60k ARG$, around 15 usd$ each on a party of 6 and everyone tried every single...
