A nice cosy place and the service was good, but the food was average. We ordered the Gyoza, fried rice and salmon teriyaki. The 2 first was tasty, however the salmon was over cooked and the skin was soggy…
At least the apple crumble for desert helped to balance out the big miss on the salmon. As a suggestion, the crumble should be warmer when served with ice cream.
Update for our 2nd visit with friends on Nov. 2, 2023 We ordered two appetizers: gyozas which were very good and perfectly cooked, the calamari were unfortunately not crispy enough for our friends from Argentina, so I finished the plate alone. For the main course we had a mixed of sushi and my friend from Montreal said it was ok because the rice was not well seasoned. The chicken in the cream sauce was good and tasty! Once again the salmon was as not cooked the way it should be cooked especially in a Japanese restaurant… we asked for the skin to be crispy (versus last time when it was soggy) and they overcooked the salmon! This is a technique for the chef to learn to make the skin crispy but not overcooking the salmon. The noodles was ok.
So overall the group of four agreed that the price-ratio quality is not worth the detour. We gave it a second try (this is without taking in consideration that last time I also ordered the salmon for take out after we dined at the restaurant), and cannot say that we were impressed.
The biggest downside is: we were served after people that came in way after us although they took our order before those people! This is something to avoid in a restaurant unless you order something which takes longer to prepare which was not the case one of our friends saw the sushi chef scratching her nose while preparing a sushi order and she did not have gloves on… so it made us question the cleanliness practices...
Read moreOne of the best salads I’ve had in a while! - Place was managed by nice people, everyone was super attentive and friendly and the service was efficient.
I went thinking about sushi but I was immediately taken by the description of one of the salads they offered with salmon cubes, mushrooms, glazed carrots, cherries and lettuce - and let me tell you it had a seasoning secret that made it amazing! I actually asked the waitress to get me the ingredients from the chef hehe
Portion was perfect too. I also had a lemonade which was big and tasty. In total I spent 12700 pesos argentinos (February 2024) which is not the cheapest option you will find but not too expensive for the place and a nice outing for sushi or similar.
I loved the atmosphere, the attention...
Read moreThe prices are way too high, the sushi is bad, and the vibe is excellent. I have eaten here 3 times. The food is just.... bad. The atmosphere is fantastic and the service is great, but food just sucks. It is extremely expensive for sushi that is uninspired, not creative, and bland. Because of the great service and great restaurant environment I want hesitant to post my honest opinion that the food is just... very bad. It is extremely expensive, and every sushi roll you will get will be confused, unprofessional, schizophrenic, and awful. I don't think most of their chefs have tasted the rolls that they serve. Without change, this place will close. They want premium prices for bad cheap...
