Don Aldo — Restaurant in Mendoza

This place was recommended by a friend but we were so dissapointed with the service we would not recommend this to anyone. The food was decent but the waiter was terrible. He wanted us to sit on the side with tables by the bathroom. we chose instead the other side which had many empty tables. This gentleman proceeded to treat us like pariahs. It was unbelievable the sighing and poor manners this gentleman displayed towards the paying customers. We did not leave a tip neither will we return to this place. Don Aldo has a really nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. Prices were reasonable too.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for us. The chicken sandwich was overloaded with cheese and avocado, which made the bun quite soggy, and the chips tasted like frozen oven chips. The grilled chicken was mixed… some parts were cooked perfectly, while others were slightly undercooked and rubbery.

It might have just been a case of ordering the wrong thing as the Milanese dishes looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. We would give it another go to try...

It's a cool spot and the people are nice... the bread rolls are pretty good, but otherwise the food was a bit lackluster. The Matambre a la pizza was okay, but it wasn't really memorable. The provoleta wasn't really cooked? Like it was melted, but it wasn't cooked long enough to get crispy, and I think it was made out of multiple slices of provolone.
