Ern Malley — Restaurant in Adelaide

We went and spent time in the courtyard (and later when it cooled down we went inside) for a friend's party. The courtyard was such a nice open, protected space that was quiet and like an oasis off Magill Road. Our toddlers were content to roam around given we had booked the space so not to disturb anyone else, and Paul (owner) was very attentive, kind and generous to allow us to bring in some pizzas to fill up from the drinks, shoestring fries with a paprika aioli and large, gourmet Mezze/ cheese boards prepared by Ern Malley given the large booking size. I was not drinking but was craving the mulled wine or a negroni!

Inside was spacious and well decorated - ideal for a group of friends or a date.

Will come back and highly recommend a visit!...

Had one of the most memorable nights of my life! (After super-stressful 2 wks). Stan and Nick, with fabulous voices and intriguing lyrics, singing and playing piano and guitar. Lily, the unexpected barmaid! Tom holding up the bar and playing an opening piece. Sally and another siren watching their men perform. Perfect ambiance to relax and I literally felt like I was part of a theatre performance, where talented, quirky and charming characters come together to experience Art and Life. The Most Refreshing Cocktail in the World, coffee and pot of tea...

I love everything about this bar. The eclectic decor, the lighting, the outdoor area - it’s just a fantastic space. But best of all is the interesting little fella with the glasses behind the bar. He doesn’t say much, or smile much. But damn is he the perfect centrepiece for this whole quirk fest of a watering hole. He replies “well.” when you ask how he’s going. I fell in love with him immediately....
