Gudday Mitch !! Server EXTRAORDINAIRE! Always a pleasure to be greeted by this bloke, never a negative thing about him, sooo good. While I was working in Port Adelaide I would stop in at about 6pm every Tuesday on my way for a meeting at Morphett Vale with another awesome crowd of humans in BSAC Adelaide. I have had all items on the menu plus two others, one of which being the, still unofficial, Mitch's Masterpiece. As the attachment shows I have used red stars and gold stars, red ones for consumed and gold for what I thought are great burgers. The Backyard Baz is a definite two-hander, it leaks a bit, needs a good grip to prevent content slip. YOU WILL NOT forget the taste sensation !! The patty is hot, the ingredients that you would expect to be crunchy are exactly that, whatever complete magic is making the sauce what it is needs bottling, soooo good and doesn't overpower the experience. The Hot Barry as listed is great and those that like it hotter can add the extra grunt as desired. Again the whole thing was hot, textures as assumed were those that were delivered. Everyone must have a go at the VIP Veggie Burger, the patty is palate poetry ! Now for the Pulled Pork. This little gem has a three item ingredient list but it is all that is needed because the size of the pork strings is that of the coleslaw, combined with the magic sauce the mouth feel for each flavour and texture had such evenness.
And ... Yes I do know the amount of burgers and birds...
Read moreOnly just discovering Barry's & have already got takeaway 3 X in 10 days, definitely onto a winner here. Round 1 we ordered the staunch burger that gives you 2 large patties as well as the usual bits. Tomato, double cheese. Lettuce , onion etc. The bun was super soft. Tasty and toasted on the inside. Patties were cooked medium, so slightly pink and extra juicy. The wife & I were pleasantly surprised when they arrived with the overall taste & quality of the burgers & has trouble getting thru each of them , also got loaded fries with the burgers and once again, shocked & amazed. Nailed it!right amount of cheese to sauce ratio with good quality chips, I had pulled pork the Mrs had bacon. Both came with pickles (quality pickkes at that). Round 2 I had a cheeseburger with extra patty. Unfortunately the Mrs ordered me smashed Patty's & I'm not the biggest fans of smashing a patty & squeezing the juice. The life and most of the flavour out of the patty, but they were actually pretty damned decent so I'll let em keep 5*.oh yeh the arancini balls were great as well. The decor instore is full of 8bit graphics straight from the 80s .. very cool retro feel, great drink selection & great staff If you haven't tried Barry's burgers @ semaphore then do yourself a favour .. they are hands down the BEST in the area! & Really hope they are around for years to come . All the best guys, I'm a 100%. A new...
Read moreYou know when you’re craving a good old, simple, greasy cheeseburger and people try to reinvent the wheel? Well shit man. Barry? Barry doesn’t. Barry gets right to the point. Barry was born to make cheeseburgers.
Seriously. Smash patties, cheese, ketchup, perfectly roasted buns. That’s it. Because that’s all it needs to be. And it’s perfect. It’s so perfect I even had Food Standards Australia look into them for putting crack in their smash patties. They don’t. They’re just that good.
The coconut water is so cute too. The cut it fresh in store, put a little straw in it and then all the kitchen staff come out and perform a luau. Or maybe they don’t. Honestly I can’t remember, I’m still thinking about their cheeseburgers.
Their pepper mayo is also unbelievable. My only criticism for Barry is I wish he made shakes because the small condiment cup just isn’t enough. Shake size pepper mayo? Now we’re talking baby. It’s possibly the best sauce I’ve ever had from a takeout joint. Okay okay, top five at LEAST.
Sidenote: pictured is their Fort Burger, which is brilliant. But it’s no cheeseburger. I’ve never been able to take a photo of their cheeseburgers because it is physically incapable of staying in my hands for long enough.
Anyway. Definitely check this place out if you live in Semaphore. Or even if you don’t. It’s worth the drive. Did I mention they have really good...
