Basilico Prospect- Authentic Wood Fired Pizza — Restaurant in Adelaide

After a horrendous experience we sent this email to them and gave big heard anything back at all

Just wanted to express my disappointment and share mine and my families unacceptable experience with you tonight on Mother’s Day.

Myself, my husband, my sister in law, my mother in law, my son and his wife attended the venue for dinner. Initially the service was satisfactory as we were served promptly and given our drinks. Unfortunately, that’s where our good experience ended.

Only one of our entrees were brought out before one of the main courses were brought out to the table. After querying this with staff member they acknowledged their mistake and apologized for this.

15 minutes went by and another main course was brought to the table. The top of the lasagne was too tough on top to consume and had to be left aside. Still no signs of the other mains. In fact, the second entree was still not on the table and the plates from our first entree had not been cleared.

A further 15 minutes had past and 2 more mains were brought to the table, one covered in pepper and unfortunately was unable to be enjoyed.

After another 10 minutes another one of the mains had come. Thinking that things couldn’t get worse, the seafood in the spaghetti marinara was not cooked and still raw on the inside. This is absolutely unacceptable and should never been served under any circumstances.

After seeing this, we decided to leave, still with one main to be served and still no sign of the second entree.

We were charged $200 for our meals and drinks and walked out. This is by far one of the worst experiences that I have had in a restaurant for a very long time.

Please forward this to your staff and manager, this type of experience should never...

Mouthwateringly delicious! Went in for Father's day lunch today with my parents and my family. Could have rolled out the door! Cheesy Garlic pizza/bread was incredible, could have 3 courses of that alone! All of ours meals were amazing and we had a variety. BBQ ribs, Marinara Tagliette, Gnocci, Spaghetti Bolgnese, oven roast potatoes.. then finished off with the Nutella pizza and Nutella waffles to share. Will definitely be back and will share to others to check this awesome Cafe out, really friendly staff - we had the main chef as our waiter for the day as they were down a staff member and he went above and beyond to make our lunch amazing, as well as a young lady who was also very accommodating. Can't wait to go back when he is cooking if the food was...

Not sure about you? But when I read buttery garlic and zesty, and the picture shows tomatoes. I really don't expect chilli prawns. If you're going to have chilli in the dish, perhaps mention it along with the other ingredients as it vastly affects the flavour profile. Garlic, buttery, zesty is not the same as garlic, chilli and butter. You know it, I know it, the chefs know it. Too bad if this dish was for a child or someone with a digestive issue that can't have chilli? I'd be editing the menu listing to include the fact this includes chilli as literally nothing mentions this so you'd be refunding anyone not expecting nor wanting chilli.
