We were here for breakfast for the first time with a Groupon voucher and had the La Dolce Vita and Pulled Pork. The food was surprisingly good and serving was generous which was surprisingly unusual as we dined on a Groupon deal. The mushrooms were a little bit too sweet for my liking and the (half) sausage was burnt and hard, so unpleasent to eat. Otherwise the eggs were nicely cooked, pulled pork well seasoned and tasty and breads were well toasted and not stale! Service was friendly and quick and we didn't wait long for our food although the place was half packed. Our only complain was the cashier couldn't seem to produce a tax invoice for us, from when we later found out that we were charged a ridiculous $2.50 for a side of sweet chilli. Their menu prices online are different to the menu at the restaurant too, i.e. extra salmon is 150% more in store than their online menu. We later on found out that we were overcharged for one of our sides too, but did get our refund eventually. So - 4 stars for food and 3 stars for experience.

Overall the worst food I’ve had I a long time! However, I will give credit where it is due and say that the fresh juices were great and so were the chips for the people at my table that had them. Everything else was awful especially the beef in the saltimboca which tasted like stale meat boiled in oily water with no seasoning. They serve this with crispy potatoes but they pour a heaps of tasteless runny sauce (or what is supposed to be sauce) so it arrives soggy. In a group of 6 people, only one enjoyed their meal, the rest of us had to pass by maccas on the way home. We went to this place based on the 800+ 4 star overall review but please do not be misled by this. It is likely that the restaurant is under new management and they are riding on the success of a former owner for now… I do not recommend this place, go somewhere else!

Without doubt the best gourmet breakfast we could ask for, that was our experience today when we called in to Fellini Cafe restaurant this morning. The menu selection was comprehensive, the presentation was outstanding and the taste was an absolute pleasure, we will certainly be making this spot our go too for brunch more often. The service was prompt and professional, it was nice to find a friendly welcome, the manager Manish was genuinely helpful and the coffee to top it all off all but guaranteed our next visit, well done to you and your team. The location on the corner of OConnell Street and Tynte Street is just a short walk to Adelaide Oval, Piccadilly cinemas & The Children’s Hospital - a really handy fresh food stop whether it’s breaky lunch or after work dinner stop !

What has happened to this place? Years ago it used to be fantastic.... Now.... Not so much 🥺

Saltimbocca, boiled meat, jarred garlic,no flavour. Although the potatoes were cooked nicely. Even though we complained to the waitress, I do think she told the kitchen or the head of staff. If she did, we would have liked to think they would have come over to talk to us but, no. Instead they were happy to charge us $25 for it and be fine with us being dissatisfied.

Where is the customer satisfaction? Is it now that we pay for food that is lacking in everything we expect from it???

Kids Spaghetti and Meatballs, meatballs full of pepper or chilli, so spicy our little one couldn't eat it.

The chef in the kitchen last night clearly needs to find his passion for food again. Get some education on the proper way to cook Italian dishes, you never know when you might serve an Italian critic 🤔

On a positive note before I continue; the gentleman making the wood fired food was in fact EXCEPTIONAL!!! Hat off to him! You'd better hope he stays as he's keeping your business alive

Manager (whom I am assuming is the manager or head of staff) leant in to talk to the girl behind the counter and as he did he placed his hand over and on top of all the straws. Needless to say, we didn't use the straw we were given. He was distracted the whole time with other things, rattled while taking our order and inattentive. Leaned over my husband to get his wine glass and plate instead of coming from the side where there was plenty of room. Social distancing fail!

The mens bathroom needs serious attention also, I don't think it's hard to get a brand new paper towel dispenser, do you? Instead we see an old, broken one with sticky tape on it directing you to the paper towel stacked above it which every man and his dog has touched...

My wife and I were looking for a quick stop to eat in the late afternoon in Nth Adelaide, so the obvious choice was a cafe. We chose Fellinis as we've had breakfast there before which was quite enjoyable.

I wish I could say the same for the early dinner. My wife ordered some "crunchy" rosemary potatoes, which were anything but crunchy, but on the plus side, plentiful. I ordered the Calamari Fritti, which arrived at the same time, but the squid was very chewy and had clearly been overcooked. We were in a hurry, so ate most regardless.

For mains, my wife ordered the Rigatoni Bella Donna, which promised a light creamy pesto sauce, but ended up being a salty thick sauce and the dish was laden with either parmesan or pecorino which overpowered the taste. I ordered the Bistecca Fellini (250gm Scotch Fillet), and wasn't asked how I liked it cooked. I called the waiter back and told him medium rare, to which he replied that they cook all their steaks MR unless asked otherwise... Ok, we will go with that.

Unfortunately when the steak arrived, despite enjoying the accompanying asparagus and crispy chips, the steak was well overcooked (beyond medium, heading towards well done). We were in a hurry, so ate what we could and then got up to pay. After paying for the meal, the waiter asked if we enjoyed our meal, gave her a very brief rundown and she advised she will give the feedback to the cook. Unlikely that we will return unfortunately, as overall a pretty disappointing encounter. Props to the wait staff however who were attentive and delivered ice cold table...

A utterly disappointing experience for breakfast this morning. After having to approach the bar to order and being told to sit down as someone will be over to take our order, I then had to approach again 10 minutes later. I don't mind waiting little while for food, but after a 35 minute wait for 2 coffees, I again approached the rude guy who had been on the coffee machine to ask where my coffees were. He told me he had a long list to make, but in the time I watched him, he checked his phone twice, picked his ears twice, laughed with the other staff and chatted away, left the coffee machine to serve other people and gave absolutely no regard for my frustration. When the coffees did arrive they weren't even what we ordered and they were cold. Sent back. We were ready to leave, but thought surely the food would be here soon as there were only 5-6 other small tables eating ANOTHER half an hour wait for cold eggs and bacon. No butter for the bread, no apologies. Left most of it and approached the counter to pay, explained our terrible service and disappointment, only to be offered no apology, no discount, but added their Sunday surcharge too. Don't charge a surcharge, then understaffed with juniors. That's double dipping! And has cost you customers and a...
