The service at Hecho en México was deeply disappointing. Upon being seated, we encountered visibly unclean tables which required our intervention to have cleaned. The staff exhibited a concerning lack of attentiveness and professionalism, with a notably unfriendly demeanor throughout our visit.

Timing issues severely compromised our experience - we experienced excessive delays, and the kitchen's execution was disorganized. Multiple taco orders for different diners were improperly consolidated onto a single plate rather than being properly plated individually. Most egregiously, one member of our table never received their order at all.

From a culinary perspective, the offerings were underwhelming and lacked refinement. The flavor profile relied excessively on heat and aggressive seasoning rather than demonstrating thoughtful balance or nuance. The kitchen appears to substitute proper technique and balanced flavor development with an overreliance on salsas and spice to mask fundamental shortcomings.

The dishes failed to showcase the subtle complexity and regional diversity that distinguishes authentic Mexican cuisine. Instead, the execution revealed a kitchen struggling with fundamental culinary principles of balance, restraint, and proper seasoning. Overall Assessment

Finally a great Mexican dining experience out Northish! Located on the corner of Prospect Road opposite the library. Greeted with big smiles upon entry is always a great start to a dining experience. No faults with service, friendly staff. The decor is vibrant and the colours just sets a great atmosphere. Menu offers a variety, love that not everything is spicy, and there’s sauces for those that prefer that extra heat to the meal. Also options for the Chavos/Chavas, and vegans dietary options are highlights too!

Anzac Day was my second visit to this wonderful restaurant with my grandson. My son came this time too. As per my previous visit, the staff and service were excellent, the food was fabulous - delicious to eat, with the right amount of spice and the serves very generous. I would give the restaurant 10 stars if I could. The placed is so beautifully decorated and the staff wear colourful uniforms and greet you with a smile. We all had different dishes and enjoyed every one of them. This restaurant beats all current and previous Mexican restaurants in Adelaide, all of which I have tried over the years.
