I booked for a couple of us for brunch online and received a number of reminders which was nice. I asked for a table inside and we received a great table by the window with full view of Henley. Perfect even on a wintry morning :) I had a craving for Canadian brekky and could go no further than the hotcakes with fruit compote, caramelised banana, mascarpone and maple syrup.... with lashings of bacon. My companion ordered the same. What came out to us was a generous stack of yummy! The mix of sweet fruit, cake, banana, caramel and salty bacon was simply perfect! Bacon cooked just right too. The people were all really friendly and the service, although a bit slow to begin with was good. The atmosphere is convivial, buzzy without being noisy. The view of the beach and outlook is just the best SA has to offer! Beautiful, casual, cosy. My only complaint even though I’m leaving the star there.... I asked specifically and checked and double checked If I could have a hot chocolate - not cool or warm but hot... I received a lukish warm cup that was really disappointing when it went with such a great meal. I’ll be back to see if I can get a hot offering next time. Anyway I ate the lot... couldn’t believe it but it was just too good to leave a morsel on the plate... My companion couldn’t quite make it through it all... so order this delectable dish if...

My oh my, We have finally visited this amazing cafe at Henley Beach. What a stunning location, right at the sands of Henley Beach. Imagine sipping your first coffee of the day while watching the calm waves of the ocean.

On the day we visited Joe's Henley Beach, we were craving anything with avocados. Luckily, Joe's brunch menu consisted a couple of brunch items with avos. Their menu is straightforward, with both all-day breakfast items and all-day lunch options, and some booze and nibbles during certain days. We visited on a weekday so it wasn’t really busy and we easily got a table without any prior bookings. Though, a gorgeous location like this would be pretty busy on weekends so we advice that you make a booking just to be sure.

Overall the food was quite good, we just thought that it was pretty pricey. Their add ons were fixed at $6 so be mindful of that as our meals became pretty expensive because of the add ons. However, we were also paying for the views and the gorgeous location so, acceptable!

We absolutely enjoyed our dining experience at this place. Loved the big windows and beach views. We were soaking all the views as we sat down at one of the back tables with perfect views. We appreciate the friendly service and ambiance too. Love how they brand themselves with blue and white colors. A very clean look in...

Joe’s: Henley Beach

Another great option for brunch is Joe’s of Henley Beach, recommended by a family member as their favourite. Being beachfront is a huge bonus with great views.

Joe’s has a menu that features some classics but also has a good range of creative options. I went for the mushroom sandwich with garlic mushrooms, Swiss cheese, homemade pesto, tomatoes, lettuce and shaved pecorino cheese. It was delicious and a nice change from the customary eggs.

My partner went with her favourite, Smashed Avocado, with 2 poached eggs, feta, herb salad, served on thick sourdough. It has add-on options such as halloumi, garlic mushrooms, cherry tomatoes or smoked salmon. I am reliably informed it was very good.

The coffee was excellent and the juice was fresh. The setting is fantastic and the team work hard in a busy environment, doing it with a smile. They also offer a lunch menu that features some of the breakfast favourites along with typical beach side lunch choices like fish ‘n’ chips, tacos and burgers.

The views and the food make a visit to Joe’s very worthwhile. I recommend you book, this is a...

We had the lobster roll and fish tacos. The food was served quickly and the staff was accommodating when my wife asked about if a dish contained something she was allergic to, and wrote it down as a note to the kitchen just in case. The inside tables have a great view of the beach and ocean with windows covering most of the walls. The dishes we ordered sounded quite good from the descriptions but the execution was just okay, nothing was bad it just wasn’t great. The lobster roll had lobster but also prawns as an fyi as this wasn’t mentioned on the menu. The flavor of the mix was good but there really wasn’t much of it on the roll so the bun was mostly what it tasted like unfortunately. The fish tacos had a big piece of fish but little slaw or dressing so it tasted mostly like a piece of fried fish on a tortilla without much other flavors. If we went back we would probably order something else but it’s possible it was just an off day.

Great location directly on the beach with plenty of parking. Decent food but on this occasion, we experienced slow and unfriendly service. Waited over 25 minutes for one coffee. The latte was nice but only warm. While waiting for our order, we moved tables to get out of the sun and the waitress wasn’t very polite about it. The breakfast tacos were really tasty. The breakfast bun was standard. We paid $53 for three items (two breakfast dishes and one coffee), which was on the expensive side. After finishing our meal, ordered a large latte to take away (took 20 minutes this time and this one wasn’t hot either). The same unfriendly waitress couldn’t even fake a smile or say anything to me when I smiled and thanked her for my take away coffee. Dining in tip - don’t use the QR code on the table. Quite a few customers that arrived after us got their coffee and food orders before us by ordering in person.
