We had a terrible dining experience at this restaurant. The young girl serving us was incompetent and forgetful. We got our entrees, 2 were lovely but my oysters were an absolute disgrace. 4 incredibly small oysters, not fresh and sauce in the centre and not on the Kilpatrick oysters themselves and no cutlery provided, we asked twice and they weren't bought out to us. I had to go to the counter myself and ask again. The young waitress was in rhe back establishment drying glasses. No apology for forgetting us twice. Then 2 of our 4 main courses came our, food was okay. But my daughter in law didn't get our orders, ny husband and son had finished their meals and ours still hadn't arrived. I once again got up and went to the counter and asked where our meals were and she didn't know. Then went to serve an uber driver and left me standing there. The man in the back saw me and bought out my lasagne and said that the order was forgotten and not processed. We then got a very sub par lasagne and carbonara., both my daughter in law and I found them completely inedible. I then asked for twke away containers and got forgotten again. I had to once again go to the counter myself to ask for them, at that point the man cooking saw my frustration with the waitress who was flustered at this point and didnt know what to do and asked me if everything was okay, which it wasn't. I told him what had happened, he admitted that they had lost our order amd the oysters weren't great and told me to ring tomorrow to speak to the manager, which I did for three consecutive days and got told that they weren't in and try at lunchtime next time. I called the following day at lunchtime and got told yet again that there was no manager in and to call again. A this point I messaged the store on their Facebook page and got told that they were currently overseas and to email them. I emailed them and told then that I needed to make a complaint of which I got 3 extremely rude emails back and no resolution or refund offered or replacement meals offered either. I am absolutely appalled by the whole experience, especially after being a long term Northern Marcellina's patron (Munno Para). Please avoid this restaurant at all costs. Average meals, left waiting far too long, recieved deplorable service and there response to my attempts to come to some resolution have been met with contempt and rudeness. I will attach the emails below so you can see how unprofessional they are and also the disgusting oysters I was served. Unfortunately the only picture that I took. I definitely do not recommend...
Read moreWe have used Marcellina Pizza regularly for our corporate events in the past and always found the pizzas to be good quality, delivered on time, and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have been very disappointing.
A number of our staff have had issues with one of their delivery drivers who has been rude and dismissive, delivering pizzas more than half an hour earlier than requested because she had “other deliveries,” and ignoring specific delivery instructions. As we operate across multiple venues, those instructions are provided for a reason. On one occasion, we even had to carry 10 pizza boxes across a busy road because the driver refused to deliver to the correct location. Pizzas have also arrived lukewarm, which is unacceptable when spending $700+ on an order.
We raised these concerns directly with the manager, but unfortunately the response was just as disappointing. Rather than acknowledging the feedback, we were essentially called liars and told we had misinterpreted the driver’s rudeness. The lack of accountability and poor customer service from management only reinforces our decision to take our business elsewhere.
If you’re considering large or corporate orders, I would strongly suggest looking at other providers. Australian Pizza House is one alternative option that has been far more reliable and...
Read moreThe food was okay , though I find it too expensive. But I have serious concerns abt the hygiene factors. It was not busy at all and not a single customer was there except us. Yet, to find stained napkin lying on the table is shocking. the stained napkin was folded as if it's new one. They are supposed to throw away all napkins on the table after each customer even though it looks like unused and replaced with new one, as we never know. But surprisingly there was stain on the seemingly newly folded napkin on the table. it looked like blood patch- which creates such a risky environment for exposure to infections. I would rather sacrifice the taste of the food, but won't risk my health for the good taste. The day was Thursday 8th Feb around 3.15 to 3.30 pm ish for your attention. And the table did look like set except that stained napkin which was folded as if it's new one. It looked like the waiting staff dint throw away the napkin and kept it there. People can subconsciously use those used napkins which can put them at risk of health hazards. there is no excuse of serving customers with used napkins. If they can't reset the table immediately after customer leaves, they should do it as soon as customers...
