I’m writing this review 4.5 months after a very disappointing and painful experience at this restaurant, as I’ve received no meaningful follow-up or support despite suffering an unfortunate injury on their premises.
I slipped on a spillage on the floor and fractured my foot in two places. On that occasion, the store was in average condition and the bathroom was filthy.
Immediately after falling, I reported the incident to the staff member at the counter. Her only response was, “Oh I’m Sorry.” She did not ask where the spillage was, did not alert a manager, and just appeared to not know what to do. I had to re-explain that I’ve hurt myself very badly and that she needs to go and clean it up before someone else slips. She then did go and clean it up, although no incident report of any kind was taken. I don’t like to place full blame on her, as this was clearly a training failure — one that falls squarely on management.
I contacted the company's central email shortly after the incident and received an acknowledgment that someone would be in touch. I received no contact. After sending a follow-up a couple of weeks later, I was contacted by an operations manager who was genuinely kind and expressed concern. She assured me that the store CCTV would have captured the incident and that she’d look at it, and follow back up with me. She never did. I attempted to follow up, but received no reply. Another example of staff trying to act in good manner, but clear that management wishes to completely dismiss it.
Four and a half months later, I am still dealing with the consequences. It has significantly affected my general well-being and motivation, having to step back from the things I love doing. Even after all this time I still have to make some restrictions to my regular hobbies such as social dancing and hiking, which have been affected due to lingering weakness and pain in my foot. I am also still restricted in what footwear I can wear. Not to mention my foot will likely remain permanently compromised and forever weakened.
Although I didn’t lose salary (as thankfully I could work from home) and haven’t pursued legal action, I would have expected at minimum some follow-up, a welfare check-in, or a gesture of goodwill to cover the modest out-of-pocket costs. I’ve received nothing.
This experience speaks volumes about the store’s training, cleanliness standards, and overall management culture. A situation like this should have been taken seriously. Instead, it was swept under the rug. As they do not wish to have any contact with me, I will continue to provide them with regular updates on my progress through...
Read moreI have been several times, and something has gone wrong every time. First time in drive thru, the two meals we bought were put through as individual items, which upped the price considerably. When I brought this up, the employee blamed the system and gave us one of our drinks for free, which was worth less than half of what was added onto my order extra. Another time, they had none of the drinks left that we had ordered, so they made us go around to the OTR, take drinks from the fridge, and tell the staff there what had happened. The staff were confused because Oporto should have handled it, but let us go anyway. Finally, last week through the OTR app, the chips were cold as usual, and we made the mistake of ordering donuts from Krispy Kreme in the same order. We assumed someone from Oporto would handle that like they do at other OTRs to give us the whole order through drive thru. Instead, we had to park after getting our food from the drive thru window, and go in to get our donuts. The staff at the window did not communicate this to us at all, and it would have been easy to assume the donuts were in the bag somewhere and just driven home. I know this is a small thing, but if the staff were just friendly and communicative, it’d solve a lot of the problems. I’d recommend just going to the Oporto in City Cross instead...

He try to provoke me and interesting thing the Lady(white- may be manager) didn’t apologise for their rude and unprofessional staff. This is not for this store only but its about all oporto store. I would never recommend to any oporto store for any food because their staff only know how to disrespect customer or person. I think oporto management team need to focus on this. Very very big NO...
