This venue's restaurant manager should be replaced urgently. Our large group experience was marred by slow service, which was worsened by a lack of communication regarding staff shortages. Our group would have been much more understanding if there was a simple 'sorry there may be some delays tonight' before processing everyones orders and only mentioned the delay when patrons started chasing their meals. The counter staff reported they had unexpected "walk ins" but the restaurant was only at 30% capacity.
The bar service is chaotic. One register. Staff attempt to serve drinks on request prior to payment. This ceates a queue at the register, where patrons now wait with multiple drinks on the bar, ice melting away while waiting for the register to become available to pay, which is now being used to process new meal orders. Inefficient and poor managment.
The seating arrangement needs improvement, some patrons are made to eat uncomfortably close to the register, I felt awkward needing to stand so close to people eating while I ordered over their shoulder. Safety management was lacking, with faulty strobing lighting in the function area. The staff also mishandled food orders, posing a risk for those with allergies.
On the positive side, the food was acceptable but arrived somewhat cold, which is somewhat understandable for a large group. Presentation and portion sizes were good, and the pricing was competitive with nearby venues. Despite these positives, this place is best suited for smaller groups or date nights. With improved restaurant management, they could easily address...
Read moreHad the tomahawk steak at the Seven Stars Hotel in Adelaide and honestly, it was absolute perfection. Cooked exactly how I like it – beautifully seared on the outside and juicy, tender in the middle. You could taste the quality of the cut, and it came out looking like something straight from a food magazine.
We had it with roasted potatoes and carrots on the side, which were the perfect match. The potatoes were golden, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside – no fancy fuss, just done really well. The carrots had this sweet, caramelised finish that balanced everything out perfectly.
The vibe at Seven Stars was chilled but still felt special. No over-the-top fine dining vibes, just good food, good service, and a solid pub feel with a touch of class. Staff were friendly and knew their stuff when it came to the menu.
All in all, it was one of the best steak meals I’ve had in a long time. If you’re in Adelaide and in the mood for a proper steak feed, definitely check...
Read moreMy fiancé and I want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible team at Seven Stars Hotel. December is such a hectic time for pubs and venues, yet Tom and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our engagement party/30th birthday celebration was perfect. Tom was amazing—answering every email, addressing all our questions, and offering fantastic recommendations that made the two months of planning an absolute breeze.
The team was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to drop things off the night before and arrive two hours early to set up. They even took care of the pack-up, insisting we didn’t lift a finger! My family and friends were all still raving about their hospitality and friendliness days after the event!
We cannot recommend the Seven Stars Hotel highly enough for your next event—it was everything we hoped...
