Tandanya -- the National Aboriginal Cultural Institute - located in Adelaide is a must-see not only for international visitors but also for native residents interested in learning more about Aboriginal culture and Indigenous art. The Gift Shop in particular is a treasure trove of a destination where didgeridoos are merchandised alongside crafts from brands such as Tjanpi Desert Weavers (an organization supporting Aboriginal women in remote central and western desert areas). Tandanya acknowledged the item was known to be faulty, offered a replacement but never sent it. Ignored emails following up to enquire where the replacement was, 4 months later the acting ‘ceo’ finally responded and was unprofessional and disrespectful at best. They never sent the replacement despite the fact the supplier had credited them with it months ago. Had to deal with the supplier directly who thankfully was wonderful.
