Been keen to try this place for a while now as reviews are really positive. It was a decent experience, very good but not 5-star worthy.

The reason I have it a 4 star review is for a couple points. Firstly, the burgers was very tasty. I got the budgie smuggler chicken burger and it was indeed very delicious. Only downfall is the construction of the burger is a bit messy and eating it was a mission as it was falling apart from all angles. It was a messy meal for sure. The wife got the classic cheeseburger double and it was really nice. We got a medium chips (more than enough for 2 people - small would have suffice which is what the staff actually recommended hehe) and they were also good but again, not great. It’s almost like the potato was a bit dry or something. Can’t put my finger on it exactly but definitely not the best chips I’ve ever had.

Service is good, as you’d expect from a takeaway joint. Atmosphere also what you’d expect but we didn’t dine in fyi. Not a bad meal, but probably wouldn’t be rushing back...

We can’t recommend Salty Dog Seafood and Grill highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect coastal vibe that set the tone for an amazing meal.

The seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked—especially the butterfish which was seasoned to perfection. The prawns were juicy and the portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they served. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

To top it off, it’s very close to the waterfront just the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking for a great dining experience, Salty Dog Seafood and Grill is a must-visit. We’ll...

But what a wonderful surprise! we recently moved to Port Adelaide and have already started our search for food in the region, an excellent way to discover our new home. And so we opted to try Salty Dog based on the reviews, and I say it went beyond expectation. As fans of sandwiches and hamburgers, it will be difficult to find a place that surpasses the quality of Salty Dog. It is worth mentioning that the service was wonderful, and the environment is super cozy, and yes, I was a little afraid of suffering cross-contamination because I am allergic to seafood, but my loves, I returned home intact hahaha. Extra point for safe handling of the kitchen. We will...
