A headsup; it's (very lovely) pub accommodation in a thriving area. Therefore, logically, it may be noisy. But the cost, location, renovated shared amenities and glorious view easily balance this. Our stay was Friday & Saturday. Noise was easily very tolerable, as adequate soundproofing efforts are made in the building. Check-in with a night manager during late hours was easy. They take a safety deposit. Room was well sized and equipped, clean and fresh. Room service is available in bistro hours (QR code ordering). And we got a complimentary drink card each for booking directly! Common spaces upstairs were well-stocked for refreshment. Access to verandah for those sea views (though we booked a seaview room). Amenities were newly renovated, spacious and very clean. Best shared bathrooms I have used in my life! Easy to duck downstairs for lunch or dinner, and a handful of great breakfast places just across the street. Easy to jump in a ride-share out the front and only about 15mins to the CBD. There's expensive paid parking right out front. We parked in a nearby residential street for the 3days we were there. Extremely happy with our stay at Ramsgate and first experience with Nightcap Social.

Booking was a breeze, and the reception was warm and welcoming. The hotel is ideally located just a short walk from the main jetty of Henley Beach, surrounded by a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The modern décor adds to the charm, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Now, onto the food—classic Australian pub fare done right. The chicken parmigiana was spot on: well-seasoned, the perfect thickness, and incredibly juicy. The sauce and cheese complemented it beautifully, making each bite satisfying. The chips were legit—crispy and well-cooked. The fish and chips were another highlight—light, flaky, and perfectly cooked. If you’re looking for a simple, well-executed pub meal in a fantastic location, this is the place to go. Plus, being within walking distance of Henley Beach, the main jetty, and all the great ice cream shops nearby makes it even better. Definitely a solid spot for a casual meal with a great beachside vibe!

I have to say I was bitterly disappointed with the $65 Seafood Special plate at the Rammie last night. For a Woolies pub, in the midst of so many fine eateries at Henley Beach, this serve was woeful. For a Woolies owned pub, the Rammy still feels old and worldly. Updated decor to turn it into a more beach looking pub. I dropped in for a good session but could only have one as it was too cold. You have a wood fire, put it on. You have air-conditioning, turn up the heat. Lost two customers today who went for drinks and a feed. Customer service for meals, disgraceful. Blamed "The chef was yelling at me." Hmmm.

Very disappointing - poor quality / falsely advertised meals, poor service and no ambiance / warmth / hospitality.

I came here for lunch with my wife having heard there was a new menu. We live in Grange and had eaten here a few times before.

When we arrived, we were not greeted. I said hello to the lady behind the bar and asked if I could sit anywhere.

We then used the QR code to make our order, which asked us for a tip. I'm usually a tipper (5% for good service) but it seems restaurants these days expect tips for nothing / offering less service.

After waiting 24mins for our order in an empty restaurant, I asked the guy at the bar if our order had come through. He said it was being plated and 4 mins later our meals out ('Golden grain salad' $24; and 'Burger' - angus beef patty... $26).

My wife's salad was quite sad looking and did not contain any pomegranates or currants as advertised. It only had sultanas, a small amount of quinoa and some lettuce leaves, and perhaps freekah and farrow). My wife sent her salad back to the dissatisfaction of the lady at the front, without much acknowledgement or apology.

My burger was a huge disappointment. The angus beef patty was dry, dense and had no flavor whatsoever. Makes me wonder what mince they used - it seemed highly processed but I'm not sure...The chips were ok.

I hope the Ramsgate clean up their act - food and service seemed to be much better last time we were here before the new opening. You would think there would be some kind of quality control, or maybe it was just a bad day. Either way, bad first (new) impression and I don't think we'll be...

What an absolutely shocking experience we had from the moment we stepped into this hotel! As a gift we were given 3 nights accommodation by a niece so we could join her at the Fringe Festival and being last minute this was the only hotel available.

At check in we were advised there was no parking available due to road works and they could not tell us where to park either we would have to sort that ourselves!

We were then informed that the person who booked using the credit card had to be present as we could be scamming and/or using a stolen credit card. We are in our 70’s and had driven from Victoria but our car registration number or VIC Roads photo registration would not do.

We then decided to cancel our booking and we were told we would be charged the entire amount on the card.

So the hotel would not charge using the credit card but would use it to redeem cancellation fee of 100%!! The women could not fathom the irony of this. we phoned our niece to get the cost of our stay so we could pay cash much to our embarrassment.

Eventually to our room no toilet no shower both to be shared, a couple of coat hangers and a bed only. We were fine with that. Arrived from the fest that night at 10pm and the deafening music from the bar below went on until 2 or 2.30am.

We left the next morning and went to a campground in McLaren Vale who being totally booked out gave us a site in the bush after hearing our story and not having anywhere else to go, kind thoughtful people.

A young man said he would see about a refund but we heard nothing at all. Not surprising. We paid $500...

Took my daughter's there on Sunday after she has had a bad experience before, I convinced her to give ramsgate another chance, but that backfired when we all ordered chicken schnitzel and mine was the godfather, upon eating my first couple of bites I should have realised there was something wrong when it felt cold, after 2 bites from the end I looked at my chicken and it was completely raw, I did not get angry but I asked for an explanation, I started feeling that this is not good enough from a restaraunt, the waiter apologised to me and gave me a refund which was a given, but had no apology from the chef, was promised a follow up the next day to see if I was ok but it never happened, even though I gave them my phone number, I started feeling a little sick and bought some medicine for stomach cramps and diahorrea , from my own pocket and had to take the day off work. I'm sorry but the least they could have done was to call me to see if I was ok, very unprofessional on their behalf, I should have listened to my daughter and ate somewhere else. This place is on my blacklist and I will never return there again and I will be warning my big circle of friends to avoid this place. I could easily have gotten salmonella, thanks ramsgate for for calling me to see if I was ok (NOT)..I wouldn't of written a review if I had a call from you guys today as you promised....
