We visited St Peters Bakehouse on a Saturday at about 12:30pm nearing 1pm by the time we got in line. They were nearly completely out of plain sausage rolls and were not-to-my-surprise out of the cheesey bacon sausage rolls but there were plenty of desserts available! The custard tart was absolutely beautiful. I have recently gone gluten free and so this was my first time eating a gluten free sausage roll at a bakery and it was delicious! I also tried the gluten free brownie and it was very fudgey and nice. The Brownie was about $6 and the prices of other things I do not know. The cafe was FULL of customers dining in but the tables were not being cleared quickly so we opted to eat in our car as it was quite loud in the cafe as well due to it being a small space. Parking is always busy here so we opted to park down the street.

The chicken and turkey sĂĄndwich are very yummy, very fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is busy because it's a well established business. I wanted to give them a 5 star review since the moment I arrived when I first saw the huge variety of things they sell, but when my sandwiches where delivered, I had nowhere to seat, there were 3 free tables but no chairs, however I asked for a spare chair to one of the workers but she said they don't have more. I had to start eating standing because they didn't have enough chairs. Then, we found one half way through our lunch. The buzzer for the coffee never buzzed, I had to go and asked what happened to my coffees and the barista gave them to me cold, they're ready long ago. Definitely it's a good place for the food, but needs more chairs and buzzers.

This is the kind of place that brings a certain 'Wow' to the neighbourhood ! Located in the beautiful leafy suburb of St Peters, this cafe bakery is in a wonderfully restored double shop with indoor and outdoor tables and it's own off street parking. When we arrived mid morning service was just transitioning from brisk to busy. Obviously the locals know how good this place is - everything is superbly made and beautifully presented, including the coffee. Don't come here if you're dieting, however, if you're looking for somewhere to treat yourself and a friend this is definitely the place.

Sadly, it takes just one person to ruin a place I used to come to with my dad in childhood. Rude customer service. Waited for ages and the girl working there looked over me and served the next person. I'm not a person who starts trouble, this actually quite hurt my feelings. When she was about to serve the next person I let her know I was actually waiting before the last 2 people (and in the line too. I don't understand why I was overlooked like that).

With no apology, she responded really coldly and snappy "well I didn't see you" even though I was right there... and then intentionally walked off with her back towards me. I went outside with my friend, who was served as normal by a different staff (even though we were standing together in the line).

That one rude girl who 'served' me chased me up about it a few minutes later outside and rudely told me in front of everyone the payment didn't go through earlier and forced me to come back in. It probably didn't go through because from her end she didn't select eftpos or something, which she would not have known considering she coldly walked off with her back towards me while i was attempting to pay. I am actually disgusted with how I was treated today just wanting to buy a dang sausage roll with some sauce.

Also the prices are...

This used to be the best bakery around. I don't know what happened but the quality and service has dropped significantly.

I just ate a chicken pie with only 3 pieces of chicken in it. The cheesecake we got used to be excellent but now doesn't have any of the punch that would usually come from the cheese. We've noticed the quality drop for a little while now and just hoped it was one off occasions but it continues to disappoint. I get the impression they are trying to cut costs or something but I wish they would just raise their prices and keep the quality the same as it was.

The service has also worsened, with the friendly neighbourhood bakery feel disappearing and now it feeling like you're an annoyance to the staff.

I really want this place to succeed. It's been one of my favourite places for many years but it's becoming an experience that isn't enjoyable anymore. I don't know what has happened to cause these changes but I really hope they can get it back to what it was. As a customer that is usually there multiple times a week, I'll definitely be looking elsewhere for a...

Went into the St Peters location to purchase freshly squeezed juice. Service by a female staff member who was extremely disinterested and gave the 😒 look when I was asking my husband what juice he wanted. When I asked if I could still order a juice (previously visits was advised the machine was already cleaned at 4pm). Told there wasn’t much fruit available, only apples and oranges. I ordered 2 orange juices, when I went to pay. The female staff member then said “there’s orange juice in the fridge, but you still want me to make it?” The female staff member then went out the back to make the juice. But 5 mins later she’s sends out another staff member (same staff member who used his bare hands to stock the fridge with quiches, touching the tops of the quiches) to say the juicer won’t turn on. What a coincidence. Sorry I interrupted the female staff member who was doing EOD closing procedures. Even more sorry we won’t be a returning customer. No shepherds pie’s is worth the attitude...
