I recently visited UR Pizzeria on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide, and I must say, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. Despite the promising concept of wood-fired pizza and the warm ambiance, the execution left much to be desired.
First off, while the staff were friendly, the service was painfully slow. It took an eternity for our orders to be taken and even longer for our food to arrive. When you’re hungry and excited for a meal, waiting around is the last thing you want to do. It felt like we were forgotten, and that’s not the kind of experience you expect from a place that’s been in the community for over nine years.
Additionally, the menu, while varied, didn’t seem to offer anything particularly unique or exciting. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase authentic Italian cuisine. I expected more creativity and flair, especially given the hype surrounding the place.
Overall, UR Pizzeria has potential, but it’s clear that they have some serious kinks to work out. My experience was far from enjoyable. I left feeling unsatisfied and unlikely to return. If you’re looking for a great pizza experience in North Adelaide, I’d recommend exploring other options before settling on...

Across the board, I found the ingredients lacking in quality and the dishes underwhelming. High expectations for the oysters but they fell short with an odd taste and incohesive flavours. Spaghetti texture resembled packet supermarket spaghetti and the arancini balls were ok but again, oddly similar to frozen ones from the supermarket. Apologies if they're not, but that's what they tasted like.
Redeeming feature of our meal was the woodfired fungi pizza, which was solid enough and fortunate given it's a pizza place! I regret not getting more of their pizzas instead, as IMO the other dishes just don't make...
Read moreTonight I was craving for pizza so I wanted to try how it was at urpizzeria...very disappointed. No service at all, we have to go to the counter to order and we wait about 20 minutes for 2 pizzas (it takes 2 minutes to cook a pizza in a"woodfire oven")and they didn't come out at the same time and the top was burnt. The taste wasn't too bad but mozzarella wasn't there and they put lots of bad parmesan on top....and a salami pizza doesn't need basil...!!! And most important thing if you make pizza you should have plates big enough for a pizza and don't put paper underneath...So if you want to eat an Italian pizza please avoid UR pizzeria and go...
