The waiting time can often be ridiculously long. I waited almost 1 hour for noodles. They must find a way to manage multiple orders during a busy night. They have renovated and expanded their dining area in recent years and are now catering to Uber eats too, but it is still just the husband and wife doing all the cooking while daughter serves customers at counter. That's why it takes so long! They must hire a second chef and train them to cook the dishes. You cannot expand the restaurant without expanding your kitchen staff. You think you are gaining profit but in the long run you will lose profits.
There is a cultural issue here too. The boss does not understand the importance of customer service and customer satisfaction in this country. In Australia they say "the customer is always right" (even when they are wrong!). However, the boss seems to be operating as the stereotypical old traditional Chinese tyrant who says "I'm the boss, I run the show, I make good food, I am always right, and if you are unhappy about anything you can f!@k off"!
If the boss hired a second chef to help him cook then everyone will be much happier and less stressed out - customers will be happy, wife and daughter will be happier, and boss will have less pressure and less stress placed on him. I see a lot of stress and anger from the boss in the way he communicates to his wife and daughter. I see stress and anger in the way he responds to customer complaints. This is all very...
Read moreVery disappointed today! Have been here for many times, the quality of service is literally deteriorating, waited for 45 mins until our first dish (salad) was delivered while there were only a few customers in the restaurant. I was told because there were many phone orders (but why would I care? Not my problem!) and my order was after them. First, I have ordered on phone for at least 10 times every time I got my dishes in 20 mins, seems like they prioritize the phone orders, so does it mean this restaurant actually doesn’t really care the dining in customers? second, I am really not convinced by ‘the kitchen makes food by the time of orders and there are many orders before yours’, a couple came after we’ve ordered for 20 mins and they got their dishes before us, another two customers came at the same time as we did and they’ve finished their dinner when our dishes were delivered. I am an old customer for this restaurant, have been here for many times even before it’s been renovated, because some of the dishes are good, even though a few friends complained about the food and service in the restaurant I think it’s not a big deal, but now seems like the restaurant doesn’t really care all these complaints and doesn’t want to improve. Will think about whether if I...
Read moreMy dear Nanna went to Yummy Box last week and ordered over $70 worth of food, which included two satay chicken and one vegetarian satay. Once we got home, there wasn’t one piece of chicken in either of the satays; they were all vegetarian. When my Nanna called and told them about it, the lady said she will put extra chicken in the next one she orders. After kindly requesting for the two meals to be re-made for her for free next time (as it’s not Nana’s fault they forgot the chicken in satay chicken), the lady had a go at my Nanna over the phone saying she can’t just remake for meals for her. She spent over $70 and waited patiently for you to make the meals. You make a mistake in the order and yell at my Nanna and offer to give her “extra chicken“ next time? That’s ridiculous. Where’s the customer service?
My Nanna has been going to yummy box for years now and raves over it. The disrespect from this lady has made us all very furious.
We will not...
