Stopped by the cafe for a warm drink and a quick lunch today. I love the lovely seaside vibe of this beautiful tea room/cafe and the loose leaf chai I had was delicious! We had a delicious ham and cheese toastie with relish (I would buy that relish if they sold it in a jar!) and a chicken, Brie and Camembert toastie which was equally tasty! Service was quick and friendly. During the COVID-19 times, they kept the service and serving very well structured and quick. We were still allowed to sit outside whilst practicing good social distancing. I nearly had the scones, they looked amazing but the almond croissant was yummy! I loved the interior of this cafe and took many photos as it was so lovely and cosy. The toasties were savoured too quickly to capture a photo! Some polarising reviews on here so far but we honestly had a genuinely lovely experience here.

We had the most wonderful time at The Lighthouse Tea Rooms! This place is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We sat outside in the beautiful garden and it was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. The food was divine! I had one of their famous gourmet toasties, and it was the best I've had in ages—packed with flavour and so fresh. My brother had the scones with jam and cream, and he said they were simply perfect. The coffee was excellent, and the service was quick and efficient, even though they were quite busy. The location is brilliant, too, just a short stroll from the Split Point Lighthouse, which made for a lovely afternoon. It's the kind of place that just makes you feel happy. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Aireys Inlet!

Came today with our family. Had to clear our own table as their were no staff clearing and cleaning the tables. The table we sat at inside was covered in sticky jam and crumbs. The menu mentions to talk to the staff if you have any allergies. Our two year old daughter has a dairy allergy. I asked the waitress if they could modify a few of the menu items, she said no as everything is pre-made and they are too busy. They also don’t have straws for milkshakes which makes it difficult for kids to drink. I asked for a small cup for my other daughter. The waitress handed us a small cup that hadn’t even been washed properly, and was still wet with dish water - see attached photo. Made for a pretty unpleasant experience
. A shame really, as many other seem to have a good experience here.

Its Monday 3 jan 2022.....We lined up for a coffee and were informed there would be a 30 to 40 min wait for the coffee.....so were all the people before us and after us.......wow.....what bad sevice.......do they realise that Italian coffee, which is what they are selling, not tea as their name suggests, is a fast service drink and not a process to waste a morning to order, wait and drink........here is another hint.....espresso coffee in Italian means quick......irony at its best.....

Further to my comment, that experience was at 9.30 am we left and went elsewhere down the road where we there are a few other cafes and we were served within a small time. This is not unusual for this tea house cafe, as a few other times we have come past the wait was ridiculously long..... it would seem part of the lighthouse cafe process.

At 10.40 an we finished our small walk and returned to the car and walked past the cafe again.....this time there was not many people around....the doors closed and a sign saying closed for a moment...... ..

And to the cafe response to my comment, I will not apologise, if you can't accept feedback or criticism, then you are in the wrong industry.......and you should concentrate and prioritise on serving customers rather than replying to my comment during your busy times....

Here is another word; kaizen...Japanese for constant...

Decided to come down to Aireys Inlet today for a nice day out and to see the lighthouse. We thought we would treat ourselves and stop into the Aireys Inlet Lighthouse CafĂ©. Maybe red isn’t everyone’s favourite colour but I don’t believe it’s hard to miss, as the staff behind the counter must be colour blind because they didn’t see me or my bright red jumper standing there waiting to be served for 15 minutes!!! Between the 4-5 staff behind the counter running around like headless chooks they finally noticed me standing there. The woman who served me seemed very rushed and made me feel as if I was an inconvenience to her. I then asked if there was a bathroom I could use, as she pointed to the sign and said “just follow the path” The bathroom is an outhouse type facility. As I walked into the bathroom I was almost wounded by the scent of urine that seems to coats the floor in almost a puddle. Horrified I walked back inside to get my order, and the same woman said in quite an annoyed and aggressive tone, “ugh your take away order is there” as she pointed to it. I walked out feeling like I had caused such an issue for the staff when really the issue lies on the bathroom floor which was almost as shocking as the staffs attitude. However the coffee was amazing!! So five stars are given in the food section of my review. Take with it what you will from my...

I have encountered the most rude service here! I was attended by a lovely young girl who had busily and excitedly enquired how I wanted to do the cheese toasties with oil and salt etc. I thought this was for all toasties as I hadn’t ordered anything yet. I did order after I chose no salt please that I wanted 2 mushrooms, 1 classic and 1 Ruben (Ruben was not available which I got the veggie one.) Unbeknownst to me we both had a misunderstanding of the cheese sandwiches which I didn’t order. So when the toasties all came out. 6 toasties were served to 4 ppl. The girl came back out to apologise that there must have been a misunderstanding as I said I didn’t order the cheese sandwich and she will refund me. I figured misunderstandings happen and left it at that
. Then a middle aged woman came back out and exclaimed that I ordered it and I’m getting it which is basically accusing me of ordering 6 sandwich’s instead of 4! So much for customer is always right! They also didn’t read back the order to me at the time. I left most unhappy thinking the first waitress did the right thing but followed up by a middle aged woman who didn’t know customer service or professionalism at all. I used to recommend this cafe to friends but now I would say avoid it! I have travelled widely globally and never encountered such unprofessional service before. Very...
