When we drove from Baradine NSW back home to Coutts Crossing/Grafton our route was Tamworth /Armidale/Ebor and its a long drive so we definitely needed a coffee by the time we got to Armidale. Well, we asked a local where a GOOD coffee☕️ would be found and we were instantly directed to “Café Patisserie” which is run by a vibrant team who obviously have talent and passion for real french cuisine. We all were tempted to include a slice of cake with our coffees and were taste bud delighted by the originality and flavours (Almond/Orange cake & Chocolate raspberry and nut cake.)The owner (Madame) is from Brittany in the north of France and her husband is from Armidale(hence the location) Well Armidale is a lucky place to have been chosen by this couple who are inspiring and innovative, opening I hear also for an evening meal soon...🥘 so will definitely be...

Everything about the food, the service and the whole experience is 💯 it’s like you just want it to never end…sit long enough and you can just morph into the next setting The passion fruit meringue just sends your taste buds to a 7th heaven, then there’s the pies, and then the berry crepe with white chocolate surprises .. I miss living here but probs best I don’t because it’s a half day sitting for me And The people that work here are always so pleasant which tells me they love their job and their energy is in the food Well done - not many better edible...

And was not disappointed with the delicious food presented. The cafe is on a nice and quiet back street. Short waiting time for food and beverages. Easy going and friendly service. For evening dining we went to Armidale bowls club. And if you want to go on a tourist drive I suggest you go to Gostwyck Chapel All Saint’s Anglican Church at Gostwyck. And Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. On a good maintained dirt road. We had a small car with no worries. If you happen to be on the Gold Coast in QLD.
