Don’t listen to all of the 5 star reviews… I’m leaving an honest review for those who genuinely have a passion for food. I love a good greasy American style burger. But what I can’t stand in Aussie culture is taking the word “American” and putting it on their menu for attention, and then doing nothing to actually uphold that label. The burgers were heavy. You got a lot of quantity, but not high quality. The burger patties were over cooked and dry. No moisture or grease on them. I could cook this meal at home with better quality. Probably cheaper too. It’s disappointing because I was so excited to try this place. The photos online from 4-5 years ago look amazing. It seems it has gone downhill.

It took 40 minutes for our food to be ready, even though it said 15 min on the website. Then when it said our food was ready, we went inside and it still wasn’t ready. They had us sit down and wait. They seemed really unorganized in the store. Everyone was swapping and changing positions.

As well, they informed us that they were updating their website. This meant that the stuff we ordered through the website was not properly labeled with the correct prices. We ended up paying an additional $15 than expected. This included 2 drinks, and extra pickles and a sauce on the side. (They really need to get the website in order, otherwise shut it down for a few days because it is extremely unfair when you have a price in your budget and then it exceeds it).

They charged me for extra pickles, and did not give me extra pickles. I compared it to the other burger we got, and it was the same amount on both. As well, they charged me extra for a sauce on the side. They didn’t put the sauce in our take away container. I had to go inside and ask for it. It was in the fridge at the counter. They weren’t going to call me or tell me that they forgot it. They were happy to just take my $$ for both of these items that I did not receive…

I also paid $17 for the “garbage fries”. It was literally just sauce drizzled on top. Some bits of bacon. $10 would be more reasonably priced but even that is cutting it for the quality.

Overall, it could be such an awesome spot. All of the candy. The frozen yoghurt station. Slush puppies. American drinks. They have the right idea, but they really need to work on the quality of their food. Especially the “Americanized”...

Warning if youre gluten intolerant. Been a regular of nevilles ever since moving to Armidale. Would regularly get the GF keto bun 4 months ago before they were out of stock for months and it was delicious and i never used to get charged extra! It just came back in stock which is great when you have a gluten intolerance... but without telling me when I ordered... they charged $6 for a burger bun alone! My jaw dropped when I picked up my order. $6!! Fancy restaurants have a $2 surcharge which is understandable and they go to the extra effort of cooking the whole order separately in case of coeliac, asking $6 extra at a casual burger joint just for bread is outrageous when i could get a whole loaf of the fancy GF sourdough for $8 at the health food shop so different ingredients does not justify it! They need to find another supplier because that's extortion. I won't be going back to pay $27 for a burger and chips when I can get the same quality for $18 for a GF burger and chips elsewhere in town.

Very sad because the food is great. Worth it and good value still for people without food intolerances which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 1. I was not informed when I ordered and would not have had I known prior to...

Sir Neverill's Corner Store And More has indubitably remained me and my Kins most favoured establishment while living in the grand city of Armidale... until recent events changed our perspectives.

On this fine Autumn evening, prior to our arrival at Sir Neverill's by carriage, my mistress Lady Lunatacian, my youngest son Barfolamule Johnathan the second and I entered the establishment and collected our fried goods. Only subsequent to boarding our carriage and returning to our lakeside manor, It became aware to us that due to the distemperate behaviour of Sir Neverill's hired hands, several shillings worth of substance was absent from our order. Due to the fact this conundrum has regrettably occurred a numerous amount of times, after discussing the decision with my mistress Lady Lunatacian we have come to the unfortunate decision to seis any future return to Sir Neverill's.

Good day to you...

Look, you don't go to Nevs for health food. Now that that's out of the way, let me explain the store. You can smell the store from a block away on a wind free evening. You walk in and you know you're about to find something you want- loaded fries, burgers, fish & chips, lollies, soft drink, GIANT thickshakes and the most amazing gelato wall with a giant spread of toppings. Literally a wall with different gelato machines! Their weekly specials are crazy and different with examples being a sour cream and chive pringle inspired chicken burger (with pringles), $12 kilo wings, brisket loaded hotdogs and a poutine loaded Canadian Burger. If you pull into Armidale then do yourself a favour and pop into Nevs any time of the year. Only regrets you will have are related to potential reflux or food coma. 5 Stars!

Stopped in for lunch on a road trip. Bought the fully loaded burger and the hangover cure chips. First thing as soon as you get it you notice how heavy the burger is, and the you open it. Very tasty just couldn't get my mouth around it. Had to pull it apart and still couldn't finish it. You can definitely share it. Would be very happy trying all his burgers on the menu. Then can the chips with gravy, bacon and cheese. So good and tasty but definitely again big enough to share. The service was also excellent. The guy running the shop also making the food was very friendly and took some time to have a chat with us. Food and service is 5 stars all the way. I will definitely be back when in the area again.
