Malibu Ballina — Restaurant in Ballina

My partner and I bought a aloha chicken burger each from here today and some sides,both of the burgers were very soggy and we just had to eat the ingredients inside them.The Karage Chicken bites were slightly burnt. We will not be back for a burger again. It was definitely not worth $80 for the poor quality food that we received. Update: My partner and I decided to try the food here again yesterday (Monday 14th April 2025) after not returning for 5 months. We didn't ask for the replacement we just wanted to see if their food had improved at all since last time, We both ordered the Macro Shred Salad Bowl with salmon, My partner noticed the salmon was bad when we opened up our salad bowls but we still tried to trust it and ate it anyway which we now regret as we have both had a stomach ache and had nausea since after we ate it. It's a shame that they don't make sure that their fish is fresh before serving it as the salad was decent. I doubt we will be back as we do not wish to spend over $60 just to end up feeling sick for a few days...

We just had the pleasure of dining at Malibu Burgers in Ballina, and hands down, these were the best burgers we’ve had in ages!

My husband had the Fire Up Son beef burger, and it was unreal—juicy, packed with fresh ingredients, and full of flavour. I had the Aloha Chicken burger, and it was just as impressive. The chicken was real, fresh, and cooked to perfection, the buns were soft and absolutely divine. And the cheese? Melty, rich, and spot-on!

The chips were fresh and crispy, though a bit more flavour in the chicken salt would’ve taken them to the next level. But the real standout was the service —friendly, personable, and genuinely funny.

The burgers tend to be drowning in sauce so we have to ask for none. Upon entering the store one member was cooking and the other staff ( that saw me walk in) was leaning up against the wall, leaning on a broom looking at their phone.

After a long wait to be served, she looked up, didnt say anything, and just walked off. She came back a few minutes later and served me with a smile.
