Slate Pool Lounge — Restaurant in Barwon South West

This is so unfortunate but the place has been a haven of drunken racists and verbal harassers in Geelong.

20 December 2023, at about 9:30pm, we were just passing by this area to get to our cars but we were shouted at by a lot of seemingly drunk whites from inside calling us names like "maids" or "rice munchers" or something like that. Lots in our group felt genuinely terrified.

I understand we are immigrants and we already feel a little awkward in this country but I hope there could be ways we could at least feel safe while existing...

Good staff and decent drink prices. Pretty good place for anyone wanting to have a bit of a social gathering at more than just a pub or nightclub. The music is quiet enough you can have a conversation without loosing your voice and the pool tables are reasonably priced and allow for a good talking point at for work functions or new people. Definitely worth the money and a good spot to visit. Plus, being able to pay for drinks on card at a bar without causing a fuss makes life so much easier I will definitely...

Chill vibe and setup, the pool halls are expanse and the tables are well maintained.

Had no problem as a novice grabbing a table with some mates and playing pool over a beer.

Casual visitors will find the cues leave a lot to be desired, but this is expected in a public venue.
