Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels — Attraction in Geelong

This church has been in Yarra Street Geelong for decades, it looks just like any other place of worship from the outside, but when you go into the church it is breathtaking. The characteristics of this church certainly warms your heart and immediately you will feel the love and peace. I have been going to mass here for a very long time and also go here just to sit and feel the love, solitude and peace. There is a fantastic choir entertaining while mass in on especially on the very special events of Christmas, Good Friday and Easter. The priest and the parishioners are constantly helping the poor with paces to stay and donations...

I don't often go into St Mary's. I walk by or drive by a fair bit. It's hard not to, it's fairly prominent in Geelong. On Tuesdsy night I went in... to see and hear Chamber Philharmonic Cologne. They were playing Vivaldi -who slaps btw- as well as Panganini, Mozart and Saint Saëns. So glad I went. Met at the door by the every lovely Synthia Hurttia, one of the violinists. Unreal! Let me say, the people who brought square cushions knew that those pews are hard, maybe harder even than the columns amongst the pews. So, yeh, good...

Magnificent views of this beautifully built Church, due to covid restrictions, church was closed, so I can imagine the breathtaking views from the inside would be spectacular, the views from the outside is overwhelming, the structure of the building is amazing, looking at the church from google maps is really something else. Its really cool to see. The security system installed would have required a monkey like man to deliver this quality😋🤗 WELL DONE & BLESS YOU security man for looking...
