Sushi 8 — Restaurant in Victoria

I’ve often overlooked this place as it seems pretty small and not super inviting. I regret all those potential meals I’ve missed out on over the years as this place is truly a hidden gem. The lady at the front is incredibly friendly and welcoming, probably providing the happiest and warmest service I’ve experienced at a restaurant. The back of the restaurant is a small, genuine, no frills dining area next to the small kitchen. It has a very authentically Japanese feel to it, similar to many small, hole in the wall restaurants in Tokyo. The menu has every option you could want from a Japanese restaurant, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is absolutely amazing. The best I’ve found outside of Japan. Sushi 8 has been a favorite of mine for years, and it’s safe to say it’s the best sushi experience I’ve ever had. The Chef’s Special is truly unmatched—each bite is a masterpiece, and it’s hands down my favorite sushi dish anywhere. Whether I’ve dined in or ordered takeaway, the food has always been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. Sushi 8 has set the bar so high, I can’t imagine going anywhere else....

Have been going here a lot for the past year as the food is amazing with very good prices and wait times are very short i seem to get my food quite quickly, the staff is also very nice and have gotten to know my family as they ask where some of our family members are when they aren't there.
