Hands down the worst buffet we have ever been to. It felt like a wild west for free food.
they had closed off (not reserved, not being renovated, just closed off I guess probably because they didn't want to clean the tables?) about 30-40% of their restaurant for some reason even though the rest is pretty much full. we were a party of 7 and were asked to sit next to the auto door which meant that we had to brace ourselves for frosty breeze gushing in every 5 or so minutes.
serving staff are utterly incompetent, arrogant and completely untrained, anytime you'd ask them a question it's either a death stare that felt like we had to prove our worth to get an answer or it's an outright I don't know or no without any further context or follow-up
the patrons, like I said earlier for a moment I thought I was in the wild west and had to duel at high noon to win some of these buffet conquests. Picture this, people (with strong body odours) rushing to queue up for the buffet as soon as the food arrives, serving themselves obscene amounts of food on multiple plates without any concern for the people behind them, serving with their own hands, spoons that they have been using, and when you've gone through all of that and try to turn up back you'd notice a hand over your shoulder trying to reach for food.
coming to the food, it was not good enough. The biryani was decent but the quantities being put out were not good enough and the rest of the food/curries were bland, watery and devoid of any meat/veggies. The rate at which this food was being refilled was significantly outmatched by the pace at which it is being consumed by at least 1:10. Dessert was non existent as they served one buffet bowl of Gulab jamun (say about 15-20 balls) to about 50-60 cowboys who looked liked they'd fight you to death for those
cutlery, plates and bowls looked like someone forgot to wash them after previous use, most of those had food stains if not outright leftover, dried up food
At the end I implore to ask yourself this question, are you in for a pretty medeival experience where you want to experience bland watery food, served by rude staff and where you'd want to forget that you are part of a civilised society and experience fighting other patrons - essentially are you looking for a full wild west fight for your food adventure? If so, this is your...
Read moreAVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE UNLESS YOU WANT INSULTS WITH YOUR DINNER 1- Try to scam you by charging individual prices rather than the $60 ‘deal’ they advertised- I order the chicken biryani, mutton biryani & their 65 dish every other week. Tried to order today. Gurleen on the phone has no idea what their own website deals are & tried to get me to order it a different away when it’s clearly on their website. Mind you, it’s not a deal at $60 but what I order every week. She goes to check then comes back & tells me it doesn’t exist. I tell her to google search the restaurant and she will see it. Again tries to get me to order individually. I guess I’ll be going elsewhere. Please know what’s on your menu before telling customers it isn’t available in that way + please don’t try to scam people and false advertise.
2- Also, did not want to take my order as I said I’d like to order and get met with a rude ‘ummmmm’?!!! I had to ask if I can order takeaway. You’re not doing me a favour by taking my order. I pay for my food! What a way to treat your loyal customers?
Edit: 3- Even the owner is unnecessarily rude, with no customer service skills - see response below calling me rude. Makes sense staff are also trained in rudeness and ways to rip people off.
Calls me rude because owner is either (1) unfamiliar with own menu (OR IT IS A FACADE TO JIB PEOPLE AN EXTRA $10); (2) your staff has no customer service skills & (3) looking at owner’s response, you are rude with no customer service skills yourself + possibly looking for an extra $10 no on cares about.
Management must have changed because your recent reviews show how downhill you’ve gone, simply because I pointed out what I’m asking for is in fact on your menu and your staff confirmed you had the dishes available individually but wanted me to order individually to make you more money (which is fine, don’t false advertise). Will be...
