Bentley Bakery — Restaurant in Bentley

Bentley Bakery A rare work visit to Perth. It is the most remote city in the world, so I only get here every year or so. I do love Perth and its surrounds, so I always enjoy these rare visits. The southwest of WA is in my opinion, the most beautiful part of Australia and Perth is really underrated. I have been following the Perth Pie Hunters page for a while in anticipation of my visit. It is a really active page and I enjoy it. Today, I was nearby to the Bentley Bakery which has been recommended on the Perth Pie Hunters page before. I grabbed the Cheese and Bacon double, a pie and sausage roll. The pie was about the average size at 225 grams. Given that the price was $4,50! this was very good value. The pastry was good and cooked to perfection. The filling had a bit of a strange flavour which was pleasant but I could not put my finger it. The cheese and bacon flavour did come through so it was named accordingly. The temperature was spot on so I could scoff it down without delay. This is a no frills bakery and I would be surprised if they ever won any awards (or even submitted to the awards) but just a good honest pies. I rate this pie based on its value and the enjoyment in eating it...

The worst experience ever! I had a question about their muffin. I asked if they were freshly baked. One of their staffs could not follow me and I was not sure if she understood my question. I just tried to double check the same thing with another staff. But, the lady started abusing me. She even used words like stupid. Her argument was that I was interrupting the other staff when she was already with a customer. However, that still doesn’t justify her shouting at the top of her voice and even being abusive. She kept calling me stupid each time I passed by their bakery. My suggestion to the bakery: Please learn the basics of customer service and I am surprised how you would hire such insensitive staffs. I wonder how this place has a good rating ! The interesting part is the other staff did not intervene...

I really love there sweet pastries I really love there bread rolls and there sweets are pretty nice too and they also have a lot of variety of food which most bakeries don’t but I have noticed lately that there is a strange taste in their hot food and I don’t like it I hope it improves or I’m going to have to go somewhere else to get some hot...
