We randomly stumbled on this lovely place while walking around Bowral, what caught my eye on the menu was the croque monsieur (French delicacy) so we stopped to have a bite. Turned out the owner/chef is French, the food was absolutely fantastic and the croque monsieur was delicious and my partner loved the French onion soup. But on the of the great and tasty food, the owner and staff was a delight to talk to. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. When we finished our meal, they invited us inside to show us around and tell us about the history of the place (20 years old). Before leaving, the owner offered us a free almond croissant and madeleine (he saw me starring at the croissant when we were chatting). I offered to pay but he insisted it was on the house. Tasted the croissant and madeleine as soon as we left and 100% authentic French pastries, it was delicious. Can't recommend enough this place. Thanks again and we'll be back next time...
Read moreSad. I was so excited for the avocado stack without feta (as i dont eat dairy or eggs). And instead I was brought sourdough with avo and two poached eggs, no balsamic and no rocket (as it was advertised on the menu). When I asked for it to be remade cause I dont eat eggs and it said nowhere on the menu there was eggs the eggs were simply taken off leaving the residue of eggs and strands of poached eggs. This was just the beginning… I was surprised by the amount of avocado as it was the perfect heaping.. This only lasted a few seconds until I took the top toast off the bottom and the images below will hopefully explain everything… When I attempted to ask staff to get it remade everyone turned heads to our table and we were never asked how our meals were. For $22 this...
Read moreA very busy day Sunday in Bowral as expected in tulip time. Very welcoming staff as we looked at the menu, so we went in. Lovely room inside. We had a couple of BLT wraps, an egg, avo, haloumi breakfast and some chips. They were quite busy but everything came out quite quickly as did the tea and coffee. Wonderful tea in a pot. The food was lovely, fresh and tasty. And the staff were a highlight, they were genuinely friendly and seemed very happy to be there. Quite a few locals there too I think, always a good sign. Worth a trip to Bowral just to visit this gem of a...
