3.7. We had an enjoyable visit here. The museum is quite good. There’s an enjoyable range of exhibits. Lots that celebrates Bradman’s life and career but also lots about cricket generally. It’s quite impressive and could take 1-3 hours easily of your time depending on your level of interest. We thought the entry price of $25 was a little excessive although the complimentary coffee or tea and jam and cream at the Bradman Cafe eased the pain a little.
The Bradman cafe attached to the museum is quite good. We thought the gift shop was generally disappointing though with quite a bit of tacky stuff.
My real highlight from this visit is an unusual one. It was just walking out on the beautiful Bowral cricket oval itself and reaching the pitch. Standing somewhere near where the Don would have stood to play was quite a humbling experience. Well done to whoever renovated the oval and pavilion and well done whoever maintains it now.
