I am a regular customer of Balti Biriyani, Holland Park. For almost 3 years, I order takeaway food at least twice a month or sometimes every weekend. It has become a norm of this outlet to say that the food will be ready for collection in 30 mins (at the time of ordering through the phone). But they have NEVER delivered even after 1 hour many number of times. My house is 10 mins away from the outlet and I leave my house after 1 hour of ordering to avoid waiting time at the outlet. Sometimes, limited parking is an issue. Their usual answer is busy with more orders and sorry. My question is that you very well know its so busy during the weekends, why not the owner hire additional staffs just during the weekends? Why are the customers made to wait for more than 1 hour. Today, the staff refused to provide the owner's contact number and he insisted to talk to the Manager, whom he says is also busy at that hour. So what is the solution for the waiting customers? I have seen frustrated delivery persons like Doordash or Uber Eats have even waited and cancelled their pickups due to long wait. These are not good signs for a good business. You say too many orders, that means you have more than enough business, and why can't you hire additional staffs only for the weekend at least, to fix this problem. This is ridiculous and frustrating. People come to you since they like your food and what respect you do have for your customers who support your business? You must not get angry with your customers and should not treat them rudely for your incapability...

Service- pathetic, no interest in customers - at entry staff didn't had interest to get you seated, when a table was assigned there was no water jug, glass, serviettes or cutlery on the table and not even menu and there was no one coming on table to ask for anything.
Food - that was height of frustration. We ordered 3 Biryani's when it arrived it was just a plate of Briyani. However as per menu it should be served with raita and gravy. Staff didn't had courtsey to let us know at the time of ordering or after that or even at time of serving that they ran out if it. It is only after waiting for few mins after food is served we had to go to counter (as there is no server interested on checking of everything is ok) to check where is gravy and raita we have been told that they ran out of gravy and raita that should have been served with food. We have made to Briyani by itself and no supplement was offered. Even in Briyani it was all rice and hardly any trace of vegetable or chicken. Really pathetic.
Billing - at the time of billing I was surprised staff didn't offer any discount for not serving compete package but charged full amount, height was that even 50 cents take away box was charged too.
On top of it table and chair was dirty from previous servings and the water jug had marks of food on it.

Read moreI ordered chicken 65 and chicken corn soup on my way back from work today evening at 6.15pm and the staff asked me collect with 20 to 25 mins. I reached to collect my order at 7.05 pm and the staff says it not ready and they stared to prepare after I reached there. I was frustrated and just cancelled the order and left. The service of Balti Biryani is very poor and the staff is very unprofessional. The only standout is that they don't the time of their customers. If they cannot prepare just a starter in 50 minutes they what kind of award you you guys are boasting about being the best restaurant. This is happening send time . Hope the management show some professional attitude in service atheist in near future. If . Any restaurant which is not able give order in 20 mis the you should concentrate on you weak staffing.
