My NDIS Client & I go to Gloria Jeans every day. On Thursday 6/03/25 I placed an order for an Iced Chocolate. The female serving me (Emily) was sullen and rude. She took my order and my money. There was only 2 young girls working and Emily seemed very stressed and angry. We over heard a phone conversation to another staff member and she was rude & loud to the other person we all heard it she was so loud. Very unprofessional. I waited for 10 minutes and got up from the table to see if my drink was ready. It wasnât so I sat back down and continued my conversation with my Client. After another 10 mins and watching people who came long after me receive their beverages and leave. I again got up to see if my drink was made and found it sitting on the corner of the bench. At no time in the 20 minute period was my name called. My Client went to speak to Emily and she yelled over the counter and across the table area and stated that she called my name out several times to which I replied âno you didnât. She kept yelling when she spoke to me?? She said she called out Tamara several times to which I replied my name is not Tamara. Still yelling like a âferalâ at me, she stated I said Why would I say my name is Tamara as that is not my name. She then raised her big loud voice even louder and screamed at me âDonât talk to me like thatââ every time I tried to talk this was her response. She then came up with, at the top of her lungs âI checked with you and you said yes when I said Tamara for the drinkâ. At no time did she check my name during the ordering & paying process. She was, as I said sullen and angry from the get go. She took my money wrote on a docket and did not say anything of the sort to me. Incidentally the other girl knows what my name is. After several attempts to respond & getting yelled down, the other girl then starts screaming even louder than Emily âDonât talk to her like that!!â ?????? I was not allowed the opportunity to respond in a adult, factual & true manner. Jump on the band wagon much?? We left immediately. We were humiliated & embarrassed in front of other customers. It was disgusting and appalling behaviour on Emily & the other girls part. Highly unprofessional, inappropriate behaviour in public while running someone elseâs business. Over 6 days a week we spend approximately $130 a week at this Coffee Shop. We are now boycotting this shop until this young lady either apologises or is let go. As other bad reviews and there are quite a few have said there are plenty of other Coffee establishments in that Centre. Your staff need to realise that your customers pay their wages. If Emily had have just said âOh, Iâm sorry, my mistake, Iâll get you a fresh drinkâ there wouldnât have been a problem. My iced chocolate was melted cream and warming. I did not get a refund or a replacement. Our day was ruined. Below is another customer,...
Read moreIt's pretty sad when they get a new manager who has been with Gloria Jeans for over a decade, and she can't make coffee as good as young juniors who were there before her for a very short time! Still some staff there, with little experience, who make better coffee than her, the so called "manager" ! Don't get on the wrong side of this female manager or you might find your drinks tasting like medicine, from not just her, but from the rest of the staff, after she turns them against you. Have also noticed since she has taken over, dirty tables, bin always full, and customers having to ask for things that should be out on the condiments stand. BAD, BAD,BAD one star is only given for some of the other...
Heey folks, I tried for the first time the drink chai latte here in Australia, I didn't know it had an Indian origin and people here like it a lot. When I tried the chai latte from Gloria Jean's Coffee Shop, it was simply wonderful, smooth and sweet. Don't forget to ask for cinnamon on top :D
The chicken toastie with avocado sauce is very tasty, the combination is perfect. But for those who prefer the traditional one, you'll also find the famous bread with ham and cheese.
The service is fast and kind, the girls are friendly, but I realized that sometimes the service could be more agile and attentive to details, such as not forgetting to ask for the customer's name.
In addition, the kiosk is inside a busy mall, not very close to the city. Therefore, there is not always a place to sit available. And, always call before you go, because on a Sunday we went within the time we had checked on google, but the service had already closed before.
I'm aware of Gloria Jean's is a franchising, but I strongly suggest that a shop is set up in the...
