Small menu with tasty dishes. Would give a higher rating however had an issue with the service on my visit. I asked for the prawn and tomato gnocchi and some other meals. I also asked if I could get some olive oil for my bread and the waitress said yes. When the 'prawn' gnocchi came out we were a bit confused as there was no prawn in it, we thought it might be a prawn infused sauce. Also I received no olive oil which was also confusing. The dish had olives in it, and when I went to pay I noticed there was an olive and tomato dish, which is what we had received instead of the prawn one (which the waitress said does not come with olives). I wasn't too annoyed, but when I explained the mistake the waitress had made to her, she just said she has misheard me, and did not even apologise. My girlfriend was alot more disappointed then me, as she was looking forward to trying the prawn dish. As we are students it will be awhile until we can eat out again so I was a little disappointed. We didn't want to make a big fuss about it, but the waitresses response came across as rude and dismissive, despite the fact she had confused my request for olive oil for the olive dish. Communication skills could use some improvement, sad it took away from the great...

Take away.

Sad to say that this place went from my favourite take away to very disappointing.

Everything got more expensive and cheese is no longer part of the gnocchi meal. Gnocchi without cheese? What is this?

Now I can purchase so called shaved "Parmesan" for extra money, and it's even more unfortunate that it doesn't taste good nor does it melt on the gnocchi. Big fat no no.

And I second the thing about the bread, it's pretty bad. It's pretty bad to pay extra for low-quality cheese and chewy bread. Especially in an Italian restaurant.

Recently the meals have also been inconsistent depending on chef. Sometimes it's super tasty other times it's really not good.

The chips are fabulous (although it seems a bit strange that they're on the menu) and the tiramisu is pretty decent.

In the shop, staff are usually pleasant. But if you dine in, I recommend you use your restroom at home, as the couple of times I have used theirs it was pretty unhygienic with pee all over the seat and floor (the shop had only just opened)

Anyhow, the price increase and cheese thing is pretty off-putting and disappointing. I get that things get more expensive, but the cheese was a step too far.

I have been ordering here for over 2 years but I don't think...

After years of ordering gnocchi here, I’m sad to say that I’ve been consistently disappointed with the front of house service. Phone manners are dreadful, we haven’t received very good customer service overall & the past few orders have had minor, yet really frustrating errors. We travel half an hour to pick up our food each time we order and it’s a real pain each time lately to have to go back because they put the wrong drinks in or there was hair on the bread. The gnocchi is very tasty and consistently delicious which is why it’s upsetting that the front of house ladies are quite abrupt and come across rude. I don’t appreciate asking if the cutlery that I paid for was put in the bag, to be told with full assurance that “yes it is” so I physically check it before I leave the restaurant and guess what? No cutlery or napkins that I had paid for. No apology either but when we told her that no there wasn’t cutlery in the bag, she proceeded to poke her nose in our takeaway bag to confirm if we were lying? How rude. As if I’d want to steal 20 cents worth of plastic. And then to find a hair on our bread just topped it off really. Quite disappointing! Used to be a tradition to enjoy this place on our...

What happened?? I used to drive here especially for the truffle salted chips. Came in today after a long absence and not only are there half as many chips, but there is no truffle in the truffle salted chips. These chips used to be speckled with little black bits of truffle dust among the salt. You can see in the photo that there is none here. There is no perceptible truffle, either visually or by taste. Fair enough if you had to remove the truffle because it became too expensive, but don’t still list it on the menu as being truffle salted chips, because they’re not. These are just chips with salt. Two stars because the staff are nice and the desserts are still decent (although it kind of looks and tastes like they’re also skimping on the vanilla bean in the Panna cotta now), but I won’t be eating them anymore because it was the truffle salted chips that brought me here. Sorry folks, you’ve lost me.

EDIT: I was very disappointed when I returned here last Wednesday 8/01/2020 with my partner. There was no bread accompanying our dishes this time and the sauces were very salty. The wild mushroom and truffle sauce didn't taste unique either and was very runny. Overall, it was like a "fast-food" experience. The service is still great andI think this is still a good place to get your gnocchi fix, but I won't be recommending this place to others as much anymore. Original review: "Delicious food at affordable prices, kind and friendly staff, beautiful and cosy ambience (they have blankets) - could not have asked for more. Maybe more bread because that was the tastiest bread I've ever eaten! Will definitely be back to try other dishes."

My good friends Will, Scott, Joseph, Joel and I woke up one morning and thought. It’s time to have some Italian food and what better place than Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers Paddington. I didn’t order anything except an apple cider and was just there for a great time. Which that I had. Will got a Spaghetti bolognaise or “spag-bowl”. He said it resurfaced feelings from his childhood and was “sigma”. All the other fellas got the lamb shank gnocchi. Scott said it was “pretty fricken good”, Joel said “it would’ve been good if the wait time wasn’t long”. *Personally I think he was in a bit of a mood after a long day of hard labor*. Joseph gave his meal a 9.5/10 cause that’s how much his drink was. All in all great time.
