Little Genovese If you're someone who appreciates truly exceptional coffee, then Little Genovese is the place to be. This cafe is my go-to spot, not just because of its cozy atmosphere and attentive staff, but because I literally cannot drink any other coffee after having theirs. It’s rare to find a café where the coffee tastes this good, every single time.

The ambiance here is another reason I keep coming back. It’s the perfect blend of vibrant and relaxed, making it an ideal spot for a quiet morning, an afternoon break, or even a casual meeting. The staff are welcoming, always ready to recommend a new drink/food or chat about just about anything.

Also as a celiac, Little Geno does gluten-free right! Their gluten-free food is not only safe but absolutely delicious. The bread, in particular, is a standout—soft, flavorful, and perfect for sandwiches or toast. They take great care to avoid cross-contamination, so I always feel confident eating here. It is a rare find to get such high-quality gluten-free options that do not compromise on taste. Highly recommend for anyone with gluten sensitivities!

If you're as particular about your coffee and food as I am, you’ll appreciate what Little Genovese offers. Their coffee is the best I have ever had, and I would not dream of going anywhere else....

First visit to Little Genovese was quite enjoyable- largely due to its spacious urban interior and liveliness on the weekday morning.

The large cafe has heaps of seating available (inside and out), so it was easy for us to walk right in and find a table. We ordered 2 coffees, the smashed avo toast and a croissant with jam. Coffees were really good, and came out fast along with the food. The avo on toast was tasty, however would have liked another piece of toast for the amount of avocado there was. Regardless, I’d definitely come back for it again.

The only negative aspect of our visit was with the staff when we were eating. There was about 3 staff members wandering around looking to clear tables (which is expected), however, they seemed to hover around our table every few minutes- looking into our cups to see if we were done. I admit it made us feel really uncomfortable, and we couldn’t fully enjoy our meals or coffees; feeling that if we put our forks down they’d take our plates. Completely understand and appreciate them wanting to clear our tables, but maybe in future staff could wait until customers stand up to leave, or push their plates aside.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed brekkie here, and would recommend to others...

We frequent this wonderful cafe weekly. Their service is second to none. The owner focuses on many things and she is very very clear about her proposition. I like this and the food is fresh and always super tasty. To add to all this, they are all jovial and fun to be around. The owner herself is cheeky and funny and people love this. She is also direct and honest about her rules. This is what makes the cafe so good and the best in Brisbane.

After reading below about Allan not getting a takeaway cup in house, I am appalled by this review. The owner is very very clear she does not support waste and so she has a policy of not serving takeaway plates or cups etc in-house. She explained this to him and offered him a proper cup. Her strict proposition supports a greener planet. That Allan said this below: "..shocked all of us when they refuse to serve a coffee!" ... is very untrue. He could have had one in a cup or she told him he can bring in his own also. But she was very clear and all of us respect this. Having been present during the cufuffle he was also rude to the girl at the counter and did not apologise.

That a person lies in a review like this is annoying to...
