POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE ‼️‼️‼️
Before I even get into my partner and I’s experience tonight, we jumped on here to see the reviews…as you can see by the pictures I’ve attached, the same girl that facilitated the payment of our bill at the end of the night (shown on our receipt) has now left a review 44 minutes ago stating to have been a customer. We even searched her name on social media and yes, it was definitely the same girl that served us in uniform at the end of the night, there is no way she “stumbled in” and “ate there” with her “partner.” It’s crazy to see this in writing, and it’s even more crazier to consider just how many of these reviews may be fake.
My partner and I came here tonight for Valentine’s Day. Place was admittedly packed, but we waited an hour and a half for our food after ordering. Many others were waiting just as long, if not more for their food too. Our waitress was terrible. My partner requested a glass of moscato, and she mistook his request for the Sauvignon Blanc, to which he corrected - this is all well and good. But she had no warmth about her, just rolled her eyes and walked away like we were pests for correcting her mistake. She comes back, asking what we want for our mains, my partner kindly says that we hadn’t quite decided yet. Most servers will say something like “no worries,” “all good, I’ll check back soon.” Instead she rolled her eyes and walked away without saying a word. It was like she was just there for the pay check and that’s it.
Lastly, the quality of food. The mains were “fine” at best. It’s food you can easily make at home if you know how to cook…not something worth waiting 1.5hrs for. Traditionally tiramisu is supposed to be light and fluffy. This tiramisu was so thick and heavy. Almost like they got the cream to mascarpone ratio wrong and you were eating straight butter. It was very bitter. Not pleasant at all.
I think there are definitely much better Italian Restaurants in Brisbane that aren’t going to make you wait this long, aren’t going to be rude to you, aren’t going to serve you mediocre food, and above all…aren’t going to post...
Read moreWe finally had a chance to visit for Sunday lunch and try their food, most importantly the pizza! Ordered the stuffed zucchini and battered eggplant as entree, both underwhelming dishes. What was described on the menu vs what was served might as well have been two different dishes. Eggplant looked to have been forgotten about in the deep fryer, not much flavour. Zucchini dish was very basic, not much was required talent to create. Unfortunately balsamic and rocket couldn’t save these two Should have skipped entrees. 3x pizzas and the seafood lasagna to share as mains. All the food took way too long to come out. I noticed our mains sitting on the counter when I went to the toilet, still there on my way back, sat at our table for about 5mins, still no mains. Staff appeared busy with a large group’s birthday celebration, no issue with other diners. Pizzas finally arrived, barely warm, crust had no crisp or crunch, soggy and chewy. 100% have been sitting out of the oven to get old. Pizzas were served how you would expect pizza to be delivered to home in a box. Not how wood fired pizza should even be brought to the table. The seafood lasagna was unrecognisable as such, It resembled a bowl of ‘moosh’ with a pasta sheet blanket. Flavour was ok and I did found some small bits of seafood but there just seemed to be too much water like liquid, rather than a sauce, frozen seafood defrosting while in the oven? A poor take on lasagna. Terrible service. We had trouble seeing let alone calling to a waitress to order another drink. One waitress appeared to have lead shoes on and kitchen staff seemed all quite casual with no hustle. Very disappointing experience. I let the waitress know my above thoughts while coughing up too much money for what was a disappointing lunch experience. She apologised and said they were short staffed, perhaps mention this earlier on to save apologising at the end?. Anyway I didn’t buy the excuse as the restaurant wasn’t even half capacity. We won’t be back and would recommend anyone reading this to consider other...
Read moreMy partner and I recently got engaged, and we decided to book us and two of our closest friends in last night for dinner to celebrate it. We also let the restaurant know in advance of the news of our engagement and that this was a very special dinner for us. Unfortunately, our experience was very subpar.
When we arrived, we were directed to our table but not greeted. After we decided on an entree, mains, and drinks, we were unfortunately left alone for around twenty minutes before we were able to order. While this occurred, other wait staff were having long conversations with other people at other tables while we were politely trying to get their attention. When they did come over, we never got a chance to have a chat to them about the reason for coming - they were only focused on taking our order and moving on.
Our entree came out relatively quickly and tasted delicious, but none of the waitstaff checked in with us at all and left our plates sitting there until the mains came out. Unfortunately, our mains did not come out until 45 minutes later when we had to ask for them. When they did come out, the waitstaff gave us someone else's order and there was a bit of confusion from their end about it. The food was generally good, but not worth a 45 minute wait time. We would have appreciated an acknowledgement and apology for the delay, but we were essentially ignored by the waitstaff once we had our food.
The atmosphere was great and the food was good, the service was just not what we expected. Perhaps we came at a bad time? Even though my message to the restaurant about celebrating our engagement was printed on our table receipt in very large letters, which the waitstaff saw again at the end of the night, we still did not get one 'congratulations'. I'm not trying to sound entitled, it's just disappointing that the waitstaff...
